Broken Bond Ch.4/ Pg.10

(after a while Elias hears a chopper inbound to the extraction point.)

Elias  looks up, and sees their ride he then helps Jacob up and  walks towards the chopper while walking to the chopper the medic helps out Jacob and  him. "w..where's the rest of your team m..Mendes?"

Elias droops his ears "we were..a..ambushed ma'am only me and Blightly survived." The medic droops her ears at the news, "ohh my you poor things!"  while she looks at him she then notices he's got blood on his hand from where he was holding his stomach,  she moves his hand, and sees he's bleeding. "oh my goodness you're hit!" She then  tells him to lay down"I'm fine help out Jacob he needs it more ."  Elias feels a slight pain coming from his stomach "aahh...?"  the medic nods then attends to Jacob and help's him remove the rag "oh my goodness!" 

Elias looks at  her, then sees the medic get some gloves, and  a clean rag.  After she puts the gloves on she  begins to clean Jacob's cut causing Him to grit his teeth as he feels a little bit of pain "gnn..it hurts!" The medic pats Jacob's  stomach. "I know it hurts darling  but I need to clean it, so I can put the dressing on you to stop the bleeding."  Jacob nods, and tries to relax as the medic cleans his wound  "you're lucky you survived the thing that caused this most people don't"   

Elias droops his ears at what the medic tells Jacob.  "he could've d..died?" The medic nods, then finishes cleaning Jacob's wound.

the medic then gets the dressing from the first aid kit,  and places it on his wound putting pressure to stop the bleeding as soon as she does that she wraps a bandage around Jacob's left eye, and smiles. 

"there you go Sgt Mendes, Blightly is going to be fine, now you need to  lay down for awhile so I can help with your wound." Elias nods, then gets hit by the medic's bushy tail accidentally causing him to sneeze. 

The medic giggles  softly, and sits next to Elias as he lays down "sorry about that." Elias chuckles softly "it's ok ma'am it was an accident." The medic smiles at him "ok then!" The medic takes off Elias's shirt and finds his wound "ohh my you're cut Sgt let me help you out the medic begins to clean around the wound of the  cut. "so Elias what's it like being a in the military?" Elias looks up at her then answers her question.

 "well ma'am,  it's not as good of a experience when you're at war it's hell you see things you never wish you'd seen in your life many people dying, and many families being torn apart,  because of  war." The medic gasps, and covers her mouth in shock. "that sounds horrible Sgt Mendes, how can you deal with things like that"? The medic finishes cleaning the wound then gets stitches and begins to stitch the wound up.

"I'm not as cowardly as i look the reason I do this is cause my life was hell back when I was younger I lost my parents  as a teen in middle school me and my brother had to live on the streets for quite awhile. Until we stayed with our grandparents, they were the ones who took care of us the rest of our lives."  The medic looks at him in sorrow "aww you poor thing, were your grandparents good grandparents to have?"

"They were good grandparents, but the thing was that they lived in a bad neighborhood so we couldn't sleep as much. Because of  house robberies, and the sounds of police sirens passing by every 30 minutes."  he sighs  "so the neighborhood was the worst."

The medic  hugs Elias. "so that's why you Came here to forget your past?" Elias, nods "that's exactly why, and cause I want to do something about terrorism, and serve for our country."
