CHANYEOL'S POV

"How's it going?" Dad asked as we walked together. "Good. Dad, I am gonna sound crazy right now, but... I want to be like you. I get what I want." I said. Dad stopped and stared at me, wide eyed. "What?" "I'm serious. Since I beat them up, I can order them around. I get what I want." I said, explaining myself. "Son, this is different from high school trivia. You don't want this. Go ahead and do that Chemistry thing. You'll still get rich anyway." dad said. "I'm serious dad. I know what I want." He sighed. "What will your mom say?" He asked and I shrugged. "I don't know yet." We continued walking into a section of the building I've never seen before. "Where are we going?" I asked and he huffed a breath. "Well, since you insist on taking this seriously, I'll teach you how to use weapons. Knives, swords, guns, batons you name it." I got a little nervous. Even I myself am not sure if I really want this but whatever, it's exciting. He took me into a pitch black room then turned on the light to reveal an empty hall. He led me into another room and there people were, training and sweating with knives and swords in their hands. A few had bruises but not much. "JUST A MINUTE." dad rose his voice and literally everyone went drop dead silent and like a choir they said. "Annyeonghaseyo bujangnim" (hello boss) and bowed. Jeesh, I want to be respected like that. "This is my son. You've all heard of him. He will be training with me personally for a while then I'll hand him over to one of you, so work hard." He said and they agreed then continued their training with as much stamina as before. Wow. He pulled me over to a table with knives and swords. "So the bigger ones are easier to deal with; smaller ones require a bit more skill so we'll start with this. Its an A3 silver double blade sword. Be careful its really sharp." He said. "It doesn't look that sharp." I said shrugging. He used the very tip of the sword and swung it lightly in front of my face and I saw my hair falling. "Never understimate your opponent's weapon." He warned and I nodded. He gave me one of the same kind and positioned my hand to hold it. "This is a double blade so its sharp on both sides. Get your grip as close to the centre of the handle as possible and don't swing too hard. As you can feel, it's a light weight so if you swing too hard you can harm yourself." I nodded. He showed me the swing on a mascot and asked me to copy his actions. I swung the sword and "Agh shit." I groaned. It sliced my arm. It wasn't deep though. He looked at me and shook his head. "Let's go again."

"So this little knife looks like plastic for deception. It's made of poisonous Silver, so we call it AgP. It's a model 4 but they all work the same way. It's a push twist knife." He said and I furrowed my eyebrows. "Its a double blade as well. You do this..." He demonstrated on the mascot. He pushed the knife into the hand and twisted. Now I know why it's called push twist. After about 5 hours training I got a lunch break and returned to the room. "Come, choose one of these 5 that I've trained you with." He said and I ran my hand over the medium sized R4 gold tip sword. It's my favorite. I gripped it and he nodded. "Good choice. I'm turning the mascot onto the easiest level there is and give it the plastic model to that same R4. It stings when it hits you. If it gets too hard yell stop. 5 minutes. Go." He commanded and turned the Mascot on. As if it has a sensor which it probably does, whenever I shifted it was swift. It headed towards me fast and swung at my face and I blocked and took the opportunity to slash the lower arm of the mascot. "Very good!" Dad shouted. The mascot aimed for my thighs and I jumped, dodging the attack and landing flat on the plastic model, bending the blade. It soon recovered and hit my leg. Damn that hurt. It aimed again for my side and I gushed the sword from it's very tight grip and slashed at the shoulder blades with my sword. The mascot shut down and I was sweating and panting and my dad was clapping. It feels really good to hear him applauding me after him being absent for so many years. "I actually put it on the hardest easy level. Wow. Your speed is commendable. And you're the first new trainee who ripped a sword from a mascot. Good job." He patted my back and sent me to freshen up and go home. Nice.
