What happened?

What's going on?

Where am I?

Sheesh, my head is killing me.

I rubbed my head as I slowly opened my eyes.

There was darkness.

I looked down and saw I was in bed.

Oh, I'm in my room.

What a crazy dream...

Wait...

Or was it a dream?

It seemed so real.

The last thing I remember was...

Suddenly a memory clouded my mind:

FLASHBACK:

I unlocked and opened the door.

At first I thought I hadn't seen anyone, just the dark of night.

But as I looked further down, air pierced my throat.

I could not believe my eyes.

LORD OF MERCY AND ALL THINGS GOOD, ITS...

"Riele." My eyes widened.

My knees buckled.

I couldn't breathe.

Her silhouette was the only thing I could see before I felt myself fall to the ground.

Head-first...again.

I fainted.

PRESENT:

"Riele...s-she was here! She was standing on my porch! And-and-and I fainted!" I rubbed my eyes.

Why was she here? Isn't she on bed-rest?

I mean, I knew she was going to show up sooner or later...

It was just too soon.

"Wait...how did I end up in bed?" I scratched my head, then winced.

Ugh, my head hurts a lot.

"What time is it?" I asked myself.

I pat on the bed to find my phone.

It happened to be right next to my pillow.

That's a first. I thought.

I pressed the power button, and the bright light blinded me.

I covered my eyes. "Man I hate that."
