Are You Serious? (8)

I heard the bell ring. Finally! Lunch time. I glanced at the clock,
12:45...YASSSS, 1 FULL HOUR OF FREEDOM, I gotta call Alex to bring my History book. AISH. I took my phone out and searched for my brothers number and started dialing it.
*Ring* *Ring* He finally answered

"Yo Al, you're on break right?" I asked him

"Yeppo. Why?" He answered

"Can you please, please, please drop my History book off at my school. I'm pretty sure I left it on the kitchen table"

"IM TOO LAZY!" He shouted.

"2 buckets of chicken"

"DEAL, IM ON MY WAY HOME RIGHT NOW, SEE YA LATER CUPCAKE. ALEX....SAY HELLO TO CHICKEN PARADISE" He told himself

A giggle escaped from my lips.

"Be here before 1:20 kay? and drop it off at the back door" I told him

"Aye, Aye Captain" He said before he hung up.

Shiz. The line is going to be so damn long for Pizza. Bye my love. Aduh. I gave up on my precious pizza, the queue was so damn long. IM TOO LAZY TO LINE UP.

Instead, I ran up to Clark and took a slice of pizza from him. Biting the pizza, I ran and Clark was tailing me.

"I SWEAR TO GOD SOPHIA, I WAITED FOR 10 FLIPPING MINUTES FOR THAT" He shouted as he kept running after me.

"I LOVE YOU TOO" I said as I sticked my tongue out. I owe you Clark. I kept on running. When I thought the coast was clear, I stopped and started eating the pizza, savoring the taste. I felt someone's grip on my wrist.

"Gotcha" Clark whispered as he took a bite off the pizza that was currently still hanging on my mouth as I kept on chewing the pizza.

"NO, MY PIZZA" I shot him a glare.

"Well technically, that's my pizza...ehhm" He claimed, oh yea. Oops.

"Half?" I asked him

"Uhh, fine" He said in defeat as I stuck my tongue out whilst I poke my cheek with my index finger.

I divided the pizza into a quarter and three quarters. I pretended to give Clark the bigger piece, but last minute, I bend my hand and put the pizza in my mouth.

"Tee--Hee" I said, while my mouth was still full of the greasy pizza. Yum. Clark glared at me, and I smiled. How I love teasing him.

"Fine, I'll treat you to Mcdonalds after school" I finally said with a sigh. Why did I even take his pizza in the first place when I'll just end up wasting my money.

His eyes lit up and he smiled like a kid.

"Really?" He asked me with puppy eyes. ADUH.

"FOINE" I surrendered. "Just meet me in front of school, then we'll get going to the nearest Mcdonalds"

"YASSSS" There you go again, Clark acting like a kid. Lmao.

"Oh shiz, it's already 1:11. I gotta go do my science homework before lunch ends"

"Damn, did you procrastinate?" I questioned him raising my eyebrows.

"YEPPO" He said while smiling.

"Why the hell do you seem like you're proud of that" I said as a smirk was creeping onto my face as a small giggle escaped my lips. "Now go before Ms.Parkin finds out you didn't do your homework" I said as I gently placed my hand onto Clark's back shoving him towards gently. "Bye Clark" 

"Bye Soph!" He said as he was jogging towards his locker. "Don't forget about Mcdonalds!" He reminded me. I sighed as soon as he was out of sight. 

First I have to buy Alex 2 fricken buckets of chicken, and now, Mcdonalds for Clark. Damn it. Farewell my precious money. 

I walked through the loud hall. But my mind blocked out all sounds, as I was deep in thought after I remembered Clark's goofy smile. It reminded me of something. A flashback hit me.

*Flashback start*

No....No.....No this can't be happening. What the hell were the doctors doing. DON'T JUST STAND THERE. I ran out of  my brothers strong grip, trying to pass through all the nurses blocking the door. I was screaming hysterically.

"NO. NO. NO. no. no. no. Tell me this is a nightmare" I tried passing the nurses and I caught a fast glimpse of the room. I saw my dad's lifeless body, just lying there on the bed with blood all over. Unstoppable tears were flowing out of my eyes. I forgot how to breathe. I lost all control of my body. I collapsed on the floor, sobbing so hard the whole hospital could hear me. I saw my mom quietly sobbing wiping her tears as she was holding my dads hand. My brother engulfed me in his embrace.

"Its okay cupcake, calm down. It going to be okay" My brother whispered to me. But I saw that his eyes were bloodshot red. It's not going to be okay, my hero, my dad, MY DAD, just passed away. Clenching my fist, my nails were pressed against my skin. My breathing was unsteady. I heard the quiet and gentle sobs of my brother. 

"It's okay, its okay" My brother kept repeating as I stayed sitting in front of the door. What am I wishing for? For my dad to suddenly come back to life, and laugh it off telling us it was just a prank. Accept reality Soph, he's gone. He's really gone. 

I won't be able to see that goofy smile of his anymore. A tear went rolling down my face as I quietly whispered; "I'm sorry dad" 

*Flashback end"

A tear went rolling down my face. I quickly wiped it off, before someone sees me crying. 

I approached my locker, I checked my schedule and History was next period. Oh shiz, my history book. How could I forget? I checked my phone, it was 1:16. I should start walking to the back gate. I approached the back gate, and I heard footsteps approaching me.

"Well, well, look at what we got here" A girl simple said with full confidence. Her arrogance is making me angry. When I observed her again, I realised it was Jack's, so called, girlfriend.

"Oh wow, no one told me stray cats were on the campus" I gave her a smirk. 

"Now you really have made me angry" The girl claimed with full fury as she started approaching me. 

A small chuckle escaped my lips. And I saw Alex in the corner of my eye.
