*Alex POV*
“Dinner shift! Here you go take it or leave it!” Roots exclaimed while placing a dish of shredded meat in front of me.
“I’d rather leave it.” I muttered to myself. Roots ignored me and closed me cage.
Yes I was back in my cage. I decided not to fight myself out of that training session, especially since Pan never let go of that stupid dagger and kept his eyes on me the whole time, probably waiting for me to crack and start crying over my poor ear or something stupid like that.
But I didn’t. No way was I going to break down in front of Pan, which is just dumb and frankly really embarrassing.
But that wasn’t the only reason why I wanted to stay. There was another prisoner down here, and by the sounds of her, she was miserable.
I don’t know if pan used the same tactic of training on her or what but by the sounds of her crying at night, I knew I had to help her out of there.
For the next week I tried to get hints out of the lost boys about this other Prisoner. The younger the lost boy was, the easier it was to get information from them.
But Peter also tended to pair the lost boys up where there was one big lost boy and one smaller lost boy, so I could never talk to them for that long without the other becoming extremely suspicious.
This is what I had locked in my brain so far:
-she was obviously still a kid
-she broke a promise with Pan
-she is the key to someone who has a lot of power on this island and Pan needs to control that power supposedly. Ha control freak!
-she’s a fighter. That news surprised me. How could she be a fighter if she is crying herself to sleep every night?
There were also some other points that didn’t match up either. For example, one lost boy told me she was helpless and couldn’t defend herself.
Another lost boy told me she had a soft spot for Peter Pan at one point. And the last lost boy I talked too, said the prisoner was a boy.
Either Peter set the lost boys up with all these fake rumors, or there was more than one prisoner down here other than me and that crying girl.
And I wanted to help get them out.
“Are you going to eat that?” a voice to familiar to me called out from behind me. Pan.
“What do you want Pan?” I asked turning around to face Pan who seemed to take an interest in his dagger as I turned around.
“Are you going to tell me how you got here?” He asked watching me.
“Nope!” I said popping the P and giving him a smirk. I knew he was annoyed at how long I was holding out without telling him anything.
And I was enjoying annoying him.
“Well that’s too bad then. Because I was hoping you would just tell me and then you wouldn’t need to come back out here for more target practice, but alright then, come on out!” He said opening the door and pointing his dagger at me.
“Oh yay! I get to watch more of your lost boys fail at killing me. Joy!” I replied not even trying to hide my sarcasm.
As I pass Pan, I can’t help notice Pan give a little smirk at my comment.
He turned me to the wall, not letting me look the other direction where the underground room kept going, and probably were Pan keeps the other prisoners.
