*Black Widow POV*

I heard a scream from Kiera's room. I quickly grabbed my gun from under my pillow and sprinted to her room. I slammed her door open and pointed my gun inside, but saw no one except Kiera who was in her bed with tears flowing down her face desperatly trying to grab onto the air around her.

I sat next to her and gently shook her awake. She opened her eyes and they were black as night. Kiera continued to cry and hugged me. She wrapped her arms around mine so my arms were stiffly stuck to me side.

"Thank you for not throwing me outside the Helicarrier..." she muttered. I looked down and she released me and explained her dream.

I understood the monster part. I was all to familar with blood and hurting people. A part of me also knew that Kiera knew exactly what I had done before too. I also noticed how her dream had involved her attacking Steve, but no one else on the team. I gave a half smile and Kiera stopped speaking.

"What?" She said with oblivious tone. I shook my head and said, "Do you know why you had that dream? Have you noticed that it centers around Steve? And no one else?"

She looked down and rubbed her arm. I noticed the scratches, but she spoke before I could ask.

"I think I like him..." Kiera spoke in a low tone with what sounded like it contained a hint of embarassment. She told me why she had scratches and that it wasn't the first time she'd done that to herself.

I looked at her and she looked at me. Her eyes were back to normal although they still were puffy from crying.

"When I was in training," I said, "I was taught to hid my emotions. So for most of my life, I've never been able to truly express myself. I was taught from such a young age I never had to experience what you're going through right now. I must request one thing from you though."

She leaned forward in antcipation.

"In battle, don't show how you really feel. We will be dealing with a God who knows how to mess with minds, just look at what happened to Clint. Loki can make what you dreamed a reality if you don't keep your emotions in check." I said in a stern tone.

Kiera slunk back and seemed almost disapointed. I'm sure she was expecting some advice or literally anything but what I had said. She nodded and after asking if she was fine, I walked back towards my room, but decided to make a quick stop at someone's room first.

*Kiera's POV*

I curled up under my blankets and thought about Steve. He was way older than me and probably didn't have time for girls anyways since was busy saving America...or in this case the world. I snuggled deeper in my bed and slowly drifted into and uneasy, but still good, sleep.

*Steve POV*

I heard a knock on my door and rolled out of my bed. I was surprised when it was Natasha outside of my door and when I stepped aside to let her in, she quickly pulled me away from the door and shut it.

"I think you and Kiera are spending too much time together." She said with urgency.

I blinked in confusion and began to think. Have we even spent that much time together? We've trained yeah, but that was with the entire group not just us.

"Natasha, is something wrong? Kiera and I have never even been alone together except when I went to get her for training." I said. "What's your problem with Kiera? Do you feel threatened by her?"

"Kiera had a dream about you ok?" Natasha quickly spit out. "She had a dream that while we were sleeping she hurt you and only you. Then the team ganged up on her and I threw her out of the Helicarrier but that isn't important!"

I was shocked with what Nat was saying. I'm sure that Kiera didn't want me to hear about the dream because she was probably already embarassed and scared of it already. As Natasha continued to speak, I became lost in thought thinking about Kiera.

"Anyways Steve, I'm worried that with Loki's mind control powers Kiera will be tricked into coming onto his side instead! She's more deadly than any of us... I'm also worried that if she does go to the wrong side Loki will see that Kiera likes you and use her dream and turn it into reality and- wait..." Natasha stopped and realized what she had just confessed.

I looked at her with eyes wide open. Kiera liked me? I guess that's why she did stare at me for a bit when I got her for training yesterday. I wasn't sure what to do with the situation, but I did understand one thing.

I liked Kiera too.
