A/N: First thank you so, so, so, so much to all of you who have read this story and who have taken the time to comment on it, you have no idea how much it means to me. Second, I hope you enjoy the ending of the story, I'm a bit sad to have finally got here. Well, not sad, sort of nostalgic, anyways, I'll end my rant, here's the Epilogue. Hope you like it.

Ten days later, Chris sat in the downstairs office at their new house. This one was his special room, where he came to work really late at night so as not to bother Jonny. They had the studio, but this room was cosier and more private. His boyfriend was more than welcomed here, but he also had his own space, where he also worked or read and of course Chris would also visit him there. They both adored the garden with a passion too. It was theirs. Every tiny little corner was theirs. It had blended in perfectly with them, with their routine and habits. Everything was special to Chris, really. His and Jonny’s house.
Our house.
He thought with a smile, not quite believing it as he positioned his fingers on the keyboard again and played random notes, searching, up to now with little success, for a great melody. His fingers tingled in excitement with every note that left them; you never knew when a new song might arrive. Sometimes it took a second and sometimes, like today, it could take all afternoon. If only Jonny was here! More often than not a great idea developed from inspiration he got from their daily jams. His boyfriend was not at home, though. Getting a bit tired, Chris sighed and checked the clock. It was almost 8 PM. Where was Jonny? He was missing him already, the house definitely felt empty and enormous without him.
He’d been entertained, playing music, exercising and reading, but now he was bored and he wanted Jonny. He thought about texting him asking if he was on his way home already, but he did not want to appear like a possessive and controlling boyfriend. Let the man have some fun! A part of his brain told him. Oh, but I miss him and I want to have fun with him too! The other part said. He wasn’t Will’s boyfriend, he was his. Not that Will was interested in stealing Jonny, Chris chuckled at his own thought. Did Marianne not fuss about Will being out at this time? Well, they were coming all the way from Southampton, maybe the train was late or there was train….traffic? He better stopped whining, he should do something productive, he reckoned.
Well, at least Jon’s not on a date this time.
He laughed, remembering that significant night he had realised the true nature of his feelings for Jonny. He’d been a fool to have denied them for so long. Looking back, it had been so obvious, so clear, so unsurprising. Jonny always told him to stop beating himself up for it, because that was the way things were supposed to happen. They might have not been happily together now and still successful with the band if he had acted on his feelings all those years ago. His chest swelled with affection remembering Jonny’s wise words, another reason why he loved him so much, he was constantly astonished at his quiet love’s wisdom. Where are you Jay? With another sigh, he placed his hands on the keys and just played, letting his instinct guide him.
A familiar melody filled the air, his body shivered; his heart beat louder remembering the feelings those notes, those words evoked.
Baby, it’s been a long time coming,
Such a long, long time.
Jonny’s face appeared on his mind, as it had appeared back then, back when this song first came to him on a warm spring afternoon in 2002 during A Rush of Blood Tour.
And I can’t stop running,
Such a long, long time.
He had not yet fully admitted his feelings, he had known of them, they had been there, pulling him towards his green-eyed friend, he had tried to resist them, but it was impossible. The force that pushed them together was beyond his control, it was extraordinarily strong.
