Chapter 4

The bright sun shone brightly through my window pane. A smile crept up to my face just as I woke up but it soon vanished when I felt a heavy body squishing my leg.

I came to realization, and found an annoying Hannah looking unusually happy. I flipped out and jumped and both of us fell to the ground with a thud.

"Ow!" we both cried out.

"What the hell Hannah?! You just scared the crap out of me." I yelled.

"That doesn't mean you have to shove me to the ground!" she yelled back.

I groaned.

"What are you doing in my room?" I said as I stood up.

"Well...I heard your little talk with Sam yesterday so I was wondering if I could come with you."

"Why? And I warned you about ease dropping."

"Because I'm your only sister and you love me. Now take me with you!"

"No! Now get out. I'm busy." I screamed as I entered the bathroom to complete my morning routine.

I heard her groan before slamming the door behind her.

Serves her right for ease dropping on me.

Some hours later.....

"Do you think this dress is better?" Sam beamed.

"Yeah...Maybe?" I said unsure.

"No, how about this one." She said pointing to a dress like it's something new to her.

"Sam. Just pick a dress and let's go. You have been deciding what to wear for the past hour. Come on woman!"

"Fine."

I got ready a long time ago before Sam. I guess I'm not like other girls. A simple short-sleeved dress suited me just perfectly that ended right below my knees. I talked to mom about it and she gave me her consent. I hardly did any make-up but Sam persuaded me to at least put on a nude make-up even though i was naturally beautiful.

I flat ironed my hair a bit and added the finishing touch. After a lot of persuasion, Sam and I got into the car luckily not too late. Better late than never right?

It was a twenty minutes' drive but we made it. As soon as we entered the great restaurant, Sam led us to a table of four where we found two guys already seated. The first guy I assumed to be Alex. Even though we were studying in the same school, I made sure to never cross my way with him.

And the second guy looked nothing more than a stranger to me. I looked at him in awe and that's just when it hit me. He was the same guy I saw in school the other day with girls all over him.

I made sure not to make any eye contact which was working out since the guy was busy texting rapidly on his phone.

"Hey." Sam finally said as we approached them.

"Hi" I said.

"Hello guys." Alex replied.

"Have a seat." he said as he pulled chairs for both of us.

"Uhm...Alex, I'm sure you know my best friend Emma right?"

"Yeah. Nice to meet you." He said acting all polite but I didn't buy it for a second even with his smile.

"Nice to meet you too" I said as we shook hands.

"And this is my brother Liam. Liam, meet Emma my best friend."

"Hey." he said with a husky cool voice unexpectedly that my heart made a summersault.

"H-hi" I just couldn't stop myself from stammering.

"Sorry I was kind of busy on the phone." he added.

For some unknown reason, our eyes met and he held my gaze for almost a minute before I broke away looking at my surroundings instead.

Oh God. I screamed in my head.

Despite myself, I have to admit this guy is a walking definition of handsome. I didn't know men could have such beautiful big blue eyes, long lashes and such lips....

"Emma, what would you like to have?" Sam said, bringing me back to reality.

"Uhm...a cold lemonade will do." I answered with a shaky voice.

And the waiter left after taking everyone's orders.
We all sat in silence until he finally said, "Nice to meet you."

I hesitated for a moment before answering, "Nice to meet you too."

How do you find the chapter? Turned out that Liam is the same stranger Emma met at school and his is also Sam's brother who she never knew about.
