Minutes later, we arrived at the beautiful big restaurant. It was fancy alright. We took a table for two in a quiet and private area where the moon and stars could be seen shining.

It was beautiful.

The waiter came to take our orders and just as Liam was talking to him, I began to realize how amazing he looked.

He had the kind of face that stopped you in your tracks. I guess he must get used to that, the sudden pause in a person's natural expression when they looked his way followed by overcompensating with a nonchalant gaze and a weak smile.

Of course the blush that accompanied it was a dead give-away. It didn't help that he was so modest with it, it made girls fall for him all the more.

Despite all the opportunity that came his way, he was a one-woman-man who prized genuineness and thoughtful conversation above lipstick and high-heels.
He was handsome alright, but inside he was beautiful. I must be really lucky to have him by my side. I just wish one day, I could tell him how I feel about him.

I snapped out of my trance when Liam called out to me.

"Emma? Is everything alright?" he asked looking worried.

"Uhm, Yeah."

"Alright great."

He stayed for what seemed to be hours but only seconds, admiring me. It only made me giggle.

"Your smile is the prettiest smile I have ever seen." he said cupping his face which made him look even cuter.

"This smile only exists when I'm with you." I said as I blushed.

He looked mesmerized at first then a grin followed by it. After a long wait, the waiter brought our food and I can't explain how shy I was to eat in front of him.

We were done with our food and just about to exit the door when my eyes met a familiar face.

"It can't be. Jodi Merrick?!" I yelled behind her. She turned around and I saw her eyes widen as she saw me.

"Emma!" she squealed. "It's been forever since I last saw you. Oh God I've missed you. "

"I've missed you too old friend."

Jodi was my neighbor back in the place I used to live before we moved. We came attached and even became close friends. It has been four years now but she still looked like her usual self. But I got to admit, she looks prettier than before.

"How have you been? How is mom, dad, Hannah, ben and..." she gave a laugh before she continued, "and Johnny." she said with her usual squeaky voice. Johnny and she used to be very close even though she is a lot older than him. She loved to prank people so I think that's where they got along.

"They are all good."

"And...who is your friend Emma." she pointed at Liam.

"Oh...Uhm. This is Liam. Liam, this is Jodi an old friend of mine." I managed to say. I bet my face was already tomato red.

"Nice to meet you Liam."

"Nice to meet you too Jodi." he answered shaking her hand. Jodi and I exchanged numbers and we said our goodbyes and parted ways. I can't believe that I met her again after such a long time.

Liam held my hand and our fingers intertwined. I couldn't believe how much fun I was having. I can't remember the last time I smiled like that but today was magical. A new happy chapter opened in my life but this time, with the love of my life beside me.

He is showing me how to be loved. I couldn't be more grateful and I'm going to return the favor. I'm going to love him like no one has ever loved him. One step at a time and I promise to never leave his side.

"Thank you." I whispered to him.

"Huh?" he said confused.

I giggled and continued, "Thank you for this wonderful evening. I really enjoyed it. I love it here. It's so peaceful. "

He looked so adorable, so happy that it was hard not to share his mood.

Looking at our surroundings, I started to feel excited. There was an ice cream shop where they possibly have their own cow and produced their own milk to make ice cream, local restaurants boasting seafood, burgers, soups and all kinds of delicious goodness.

"How about we go for some ice cream at that, an old fashion ice cream parlor. We can walk and eat our ice cream by the park. If that's okay with you." He trailed off until I looked up at him.

I smiled, willing myself not to blush. "Sounds perfect."
