A month later...

No matter how much time had passed, when she looked at him, she saw always remembered the wild, brown -haired boy she had fallen in love with.

I looked at Liam's gorgeous face as he passed opposite my direction. It has been a month now but I couldn't believe how attached I still was.

He stopped as if on cue and our eyes met. I suddenly lost my breath. He looked at me for a moment before giving me a smile. I didn't give a damn about returning it.

He started walking towards me. I panicked and walked away. I was so not ready to face him. After everything he did to me. After he has hurt me and broke me.

My birthday was coming up very soon, in fact, in just some few hours and I'm not very happy to celebrate it. Even though dad and I patched things up, I still believe that he doesn't look at me the way he used to, even after mom reassured me that he still loves me very much.

I walked in the house only to find it dark and empty. I am very sure that everyone is hiding behind the curtains. Immediately I switched on the lights, everyone screamed "Surprise! Happy Birthday!"

It only made me wince at the sound of those words. After thanking them for the beautiful decorations and presents, mom urged me to go upstairs and change into something more presentable.

The moment I entered my room, I saw a beautiful golden colored dress lying on my cozy bed. To say I was surprised would be an understatement. I adore anything golden in color especially the dress on my bed which had some glitters on it too.

Without a second thought, I wore the dress and got out. I could say that I looked stunning. All eyes were on me when I stepped into the large garden behind our house where the party was taking place.

"Oh My God, you're looking so beautiful my dear." mom praised as she held my cheeks and kissed them.

"Thanks mom but you got to stop that. I'm eighteen now." I said.

"And all grown up." dad said giving me a hug.

I thanked everyone for the gifts and commentaries and the party was about to end when he came in. He looked extra gorgeous with a black suit and a red tie making him look much mature and older than he already is.

I wonder what he is doing here.

He walked slowly and patiently towards me. "I see you like the dress I got for you." he said smirking at me.

Whoa. Whoa. He got the dress? Seriously, of all people.

"What do you want Liam?" I asked.

"I want you." he said making my heart skip a beat.

I looked at him confused as if he had lost his mind.

"Emma, I just want to say that I am sorry. I am sorry for being a jerk to you. For not understanding the pain you were going through. "He said as he knelt before me." I am sorry Emma."

"Why did you leave me when you promised that you won't?"

"Because I didn't want you to get attached too much that it will hurt you more than it already has. But I have realized my mistake and I am ready to take the blame for it. I just wanted to protect you." he said as tears streamed down his cheeks.

"I am sorry Emma. I have reasoned everything out with your dad. Now, it's just up to you. Will you forgive this jerk and give me another chance?"

I looked into his now red eyes. Every word touched my soul. I felt bad for everything. And just like the person I was, I decided to forgive him.

"You will always be mine Liam." I said as I hugged him into a tight hug.

"And forever more."
