"I love the moon."
"I hate it." Remus said.
"It's so beautiful."
"It's what makes me what I am. It's nothing other than an ugly white orb." Remus grimaced.
"It reminds me of your soul. Beautiful and pure and, like the moon, I'm always looking forw...

It was only about six in the morning, but it was Christmas morning and James and Sirius were awake. They had carried the small girl downstairs by her hands and feet, but she didn't mind as long as she got a few more minutes of sleep. The boys had woken up their parents as well, who were less than thrilled to be woken up by their fifteen year old son and his best friend.
James and Sirius began opening presents as soon as everyone was equipped with their cups of coffee and tea, making sure that everyone got their gifts. Abrienne's mother got her a new paint set and her father got her new parchment and an eagle quill, but James and Sirius claimed she couldn't open the gifts from them until Remus and Peter had gotten to the house. James got a new broomstick and a broom cleaning kit, and Sirius got a very large tin full of Mrs. Potter's Christmas treats and a few new sweaters, along with a Muggle book that he had wanted for months, despite not being the type to read.
Abrienne gave her parents a painting of the house she had done long ago, and James and Sirius got them a bunch of different kinds of tea and a few books they thought they'd like. Their parents were obviously pleased with their gifts (they would've been happy just getting a old pair of James' socks), and Mr. Potter used his wand to hang the painting on the wall right above the fireplace.
The family shared a large breakfast that consisted of pancakes, bacon, sausages, and many types of treats, along with a large pot of fresh coffee and one of Mrs. Potter's new kind of tea. They ate happily, surrounded by a comfortable aura, and afterward Abrienne, Sirius and James helped clean the dishes before all piling into Abrienne's room, where she put away her new paint set and placed her Eagle quill gently on a delicately crafted gold stand.
The boys were laying on her bed, chatting about how excited they were for Remus and Peter to arrive. Abrienne sat on a yellow plush chair in the corner of her room beside her large bookshelf.
"So you guys got him clothes and robes, right?" Abrienne clarified, raising an eyebrow at the boys. They both nodded, but Abrienne watched Sirius's face contort into a smirk, followed by a mischievous laugh. "Sirius, I swear to Godric if you didn't get him clothes-" Abrienne glared, but was cut off by the dark-haired boy.
"Relax, Luna. Of course I got him clothes. Maybe I got him something else, though. Who knows," Sirius shrugged nonchalantly, spreading himself out on her bed, "maybe he'd like something other than clothes. I mean, he gets them every year- you'd think he tires from the same old gift every single year." He was grinning devilishly- a grin that only ever appeared when he had something up his sleeve. James snickered beside him, but the laugh didn't reach his eyes. Abrienne wondered what could be wrong with her twin.
"Anyway, the boys will be here in about an hour or so," James changed the subject, rubbing his hand over his tired face, "what are we gonna do?"
"I'm bored too," Sirius added, "can we do something fun?" Abrienne rolled her eyes at the two boys; they were always bored; they always wanted to do something 'fun', and Abrienne always had to be involved.
