"I love the moon."
"I hate it." Remus said.
"It's so beautiful."
"It's what makes me what I am. It's nothing other than an ugly white orb." Remus grimaced.
"It reminds me of your soul. Beautiful and pure and, like the moon, I'm always looking forw...

Although it was only February, the air was already starting to get warmer, the days longer, and the sun shined often in the sky. Spring would come soon this year; Abrienne could already see herself studying in the grass by the black lake. She could already feel the warmth that would envelope her while she scanned her eyes over one of her favourite novels.
Until then, however, Abrienne was stuck in the library, surrounded by other witches and wizards who were dying for the snow to melt. Xenophilius Lovegood wasn't as excited as the others. He didn't do much outside besides go into the forbidden forest; he could do that any time of the year.
Abrienne had thought about the advice Xeno had given her just about a week ago. She had talked to Antoinette about it, who had gone into great detail about every person she had ever snuck around with. It didn't help much; it wasn't much advice to her, and came out as bragging.
Abrienne had also thought about what Xeno had said about 'probably' having sex with her. She had no romantic feelings towards him, and he comfortably reciprocated her feelings, but she had grown very close to him as a friend. He understood her, and she valued that greatly.
"Xenophilius?" Abrienne asked one afternoon in the library. Xeno barely glanced up from his book and muttered a yes? "Were you being serious about what you said last week?" She was aware that he knew what she was talking about, and she wrung her fingers together as she waited for a reply. He looked up from his book and closed it slowly. He was surprised that she had brought it up again; he had expected her to brush it off.
"I think so," He replied, pushing a lock of white-blonde hair out of his eyes. "if you feel it's necessary to move on from Remus Lupin, then I suppose I am serious." He looked almost nervous. Abrienne understood his feelings- she would be too if she was in his position. For whatever reason, she didn't feel a pit in her stomach; she felt almost confident about the situation.
"Well, maybe I'll take you up on your-" Abrienne was cut off by a loud bang coming from outside the library. She rolled her eyes, knowing that it was her brother and his friends up to no good. Usually Abrienne would be excited for the Marauders' pranks, but after quickly growing apart from them and closer to Xeno, she found them annoying and immature.
There was laughter heard from outside of the library, and many of the students stood up and ran towards the door to see what was going on. Abrienne rolled her eyes and stood up, mouthing a silent apology to her white haired friend before pushing through the crowd of people and out the doors of the once quiet library.
Students were surrounding the area of the prank, and Abrienne had to push through them all to see what was going on. She stopped at the very front of the group to see Peeves covered in red goop, along with all four Marauders howling with laughter. Her eyes distinctively darted to Remus, who looked as if he was enjoying the prank as much as the other boys. Right beside him stood his Ravenclaw girlfriend, Rowan Matthews, looking as graceful as ever and she tried to hide her giggled of amusement, holding onto Remus's hand.
