The Maslow Relationship(Sequel to Thanks Fox)

Chapter 13

"Are you okay?" James asked after 10 minutes of driving.

"Yeah, don't worry." I looked at him and smiled.

He frowned. "I don't believe that Cat. I know exactly when you're faking a smile. That is a half fake smile."

"I'm okay but I wish I knew that my mom and stepfather would be here." I frowned.

"I never saw you like that." He said in a calm and stern voice.

I looked at him. "What do you mean?"

"So cold and freaked out."

"Ohh." I looked down upset.

"Oi! I don't want you to be upset. I understand why you were like that. I know what happenend between you and your mom and then, who wouldn't be pissed with what your stepfather said? Believe me, I wonder how I could stay calm. I wanted to punch him so hard. No one, I repeat, NO ONE... tallks about my baby like that."

I looked at him. "Thank you." I smiled faintly.

He made a confused face. "Why?"

"For beeing with me when I mostly need you."

He smiled widely. "You don't need to thank me. I'll ALWAYS be there for you."

I smiled and the rest of the ride was silent. But it was a nice silence. We arrived at my dad's street, James parked and we went home.

"We're back!" I shouted as we entered the appartment.

"Finnaly!" I heard Sandra and laughed.

"Did you miss me that much?" I asked teasingly.

"Of course I did!"

"Just because I'm such a lovable person right?"

"A little full of yourself aren't ya?"

I laughed and nooded at her. James and I undressed our coats and shoes and sat down on the couch. Fox laid down on my lap.

"So, how was it?" My dad asked.

James and I looked at eachother.

"It was good." James said.

"Good." My dad said satisfied.

"But..." I started and stopped.

"Buuut?" Sandra said.

"My mom was there." I told all that happened.

"Who the hell does he think he is? He has no right, I repeat, NO RIGHT! To talk about you like that."

I giggled.

"What's so funny?" He looked surprised at me.

"Sorry. I know it is the wrong time to giggle. James said the same thing. The 'I repeat' one."

"Strange as always." Sandra said. Everyone was silent for a few seconds but then we all started laughing.

"I don't care what he says and thinks about me. Yeah, it pisses me of. But he was, or is I don't know, worse than what he said about me. He doesn't know what I did since I moved to LA."

"And he was the one sleeping with a family member." My Sandra said.

"Exactly." I said. "I still wonder how that happened, she had to be blind or something 'cause... oh come on! He's so freaking ugly!"

Then we moved on and we talked about the good things that happened. Suddenly my phone started to ring. I looked at the callers ID and smiled.

I answered the phone. "Good evening. Center of psychology how can I help you?"

"Are you saying I need a psycholog?!" The person shouted on the phone.

"Well, kinda. But you're not the only one." I laughed.

"Catherine!" She said in a dangerous voice.

"Yeah Angie?" I asked in a sweet voice.

She laughed. "Can I come over your dad's house? I would like to see everyone."

"Of course you can! We'll be waiting. Bye."

"Bye." We hung up and I told my dad and Sandra.

Then I went to the laptop and logged into Skype.

"Hey there!" I said as the video call began.

"Hey girl!" Joni said exited.

"Hey!" Maxi appeared on the screen.

"How are you?" Joni asked.

"Okay." I shrugged.

"What's wrong?" Maxi asked.

I told them what happened a few moments ago and they were shocked. We talked to Carlos and Logan too and then hung up. I put my MacBook away and we waited for Angie and Shane.

They arrived and we talked for a while. My dad, Sandra, Dan and Lena were really happy to see them again. It was really late as they went home and after that we went to sleep.

I'm so sorry that it took me so long time to update. I've been really really REALLY busy latelly.

I'll update as often as I can but yeah..:/

And I'm really sorry that this chapter's so little. I have a little writters blick but it's nothing bad :)

I hope you'll still read my story even tough I needed so long time to update.

I wanted to tell you to go and read CaliforniaGirl23 stories. She's gonna start a sequel now. Her stories ate A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! :D
