Ravenclaw 6th year,
So here we are again; the start of a new year and the start of a new diary. Honestly...I'm not sure why I bother keeping one; nothing ever happens in my life. I guess I just wanted to have something my parents couldn't control, something of my own that doesn't have to follow their rules and regulations. I know they want what’s best for me but sometimes I just want to break free of the net of manners and education they’ve thrust upon me. Luckily I have Hogwarts as an escape which is more than my brother and sister have. Neither of them are magic you see, not that this is a bad thing to my parents; they disapprove of the whole business you see.
Anyway enough about them, even though this is the sixth time of doing it, I guess I must introduce myself, just in case, in years to come people discover my scribblings and wonder who I was.
Well the name’s Liron…odd I know. Some days I can’t believe my parents could’ve been so cruel but then others I realise it suits me perfectly. It means ‘my song’ which is quite fitting seeing as I have a talent for singing. Every family party or Christmas Ball, I am hauled up in front of everyone to sing my heart out and then…and this is the worst part, my parents take all the credit for it. It seems unfair but that’s how things go in the upper class world; children are to be seen and not heard, they are to be polite and well mannered and they have to abide by their parents every rule.
God…even in my Diary they seem to have found a way to take over…You know little about me except my name…but perhaps that is a good thing. It would be boring to learn everything about one person in a matter of moments…so why don’t you continue to read my story? I can’t promise it will be adventurous and exciting and I can’t promise you’ll like it but I can tell my sixth year at Hogwarts is going to be the best one yet...
With that said, it is time for me to go but…don’t think I won’t be back again.
