Should be performed at midnight light the candle and prick it with the pin many times over thinking of the couple you want to break up. Say the following out loud:
"As I prick this candle , I prick at thee
Broken hearts unhappy be
May you part another day
Soon to go your separate ways."
Blow out the candle and break it in half thinking of the splitting couple. Then dispose the two halves in separate trash containers.
