My strange experience

Can someone please give me an explanation to this...

so I decided to do the old folk tales about leaving milk and sweet treats outside for the fairies so I got a piece of cake and put it out, the next day I walked outside and it was gone, I thought of other explanations like insects or ants could've eaten it so I put another piece out near a bush, it was dusk and I walked out to pick the plate up then I saw a little glow between the bushes and I investigated the bush then suddenly the glow just flashed straight through the bushes then I couldn't see where the glow went so I went back inside

Vixen says I probably saw one, mysterious says that I did as well, Rose is trying to figure out other explanations for the little glow
