All Grown Up {Cashton}

Age 6

"Hi momma." Calum mumbles as his mom arrives at the end of practice.

"Hi Bub. How was practice?" Joy asks.

"It was umm good." Calum says.

"Hey Mrs. Hood. Can Calum stay at mine tonight? Lu and Mikey are coming over." Ashton asks politely.

"That would be fine Ashton. I'll drop some clothes off." Joy suggests.

"No it's ok, he can just wear mine."

"But your much taller than him, won't they be way to big?" She asks.

"Yep. Thanks Mrs. Hood. I'll walk Calum back home tomorrow. Byee!" Ashton says grabbing Calum's hand and walking away.

Ashton really hasn't like Joy since he even understood anything. Ashton knew how she expected Calum to be. Perfect. She wanted him to be perfect. She practically to the whole fun of being a kid away and tries to make him some kind of robot.

At least Calum had one escape. And that was when he was with Ashton. Ashton made Calum have fun and he made Calum happy. Calum could be himself around Ashton. The two boys grabbed the key from its spot in the flower pot and unlocked the door. The two walked inside and upstairs to Ashton's room. They sat there listening to music, singing and dancing like crazy.

After almost a full thirty minutes they were interrupted by a knock on the window.

"Lu! Mikey!" Calum yells leaping towards the window. He opens it and lets them in.

"Why was the door locked?" Michael asks.

"Moms not here." Ashton mumbles.

Ashton was almost always home alone, with his mother always at work and his dad was out of the picture he didn't have much of a choice.

Unless he got a babysitter but Ashton refused to let his mother to pay for one. As much as he hates being alone, they're family couldn't afford to pay some person to sit around and watch the boy when he was ok by himself.

Ashton pushed away his thoughts and looked over at his best friends getting ready to spend the night with them.

Ok so I was just going to make a few things clear...

1) All the chapters will not be different ages, a little later it will just stay one age.

2) They are getting ready to go into first grade

3) Today is Calum's birthday and lets all just be happy that 21 years ago today Calum Hood was born and if that didn't happen I would be writing this right now so Happy Birthday Calum!
