Ashton, Calum, Michael, and Luke had been best friends since they were in diapers. They all grew up and got new hobbies, and they all changed but never grew apart. They even got new girlfriends all except Calum, because he had eyes for someone else...
"Do a backflip!" Calum yells from the side of the pool.
Ashton looks over from his spot on the diving board he gives Calum a thumbs up before running and jumping off the high dive. He successfully does the flip swimming to the edge after coming up from the water.
"Ok, we've been here for four hours are you ready to go yet?" Calum asks Ashton
"Yeah, Lu and Mikey can just stay here. They come by yours when they're ready." Ashton says.
The two boys began walking home but stopped about half way when hearing a small whimper. The boys looked around and saw a baby corgi with his leg caught in a fence.
"Ashy we gotta help him! He looks hurt!" Calum squeaks.
The nicknames they had had for each other when they were little really never did fade.
"Calm down Cally, I'll get him hold on." Ashton soothes.
Ashton walks over and gently slips the puppy's foot out. It was cut so he picked the small pup and carried him over to Cal.
"Here Cally, wrap him in my towel and you can carry him. I'll take the bag." Ashton says knowing how much Calum loves dogs.
Calum nods holding the puppy to his chest and whispering to him.
"What are we going to do with him?" Calum asks.
"We'll put up posters to see if anyone is missing they're dog and if they aren't then he'll live at my house." Ashton explains.
Calum just hums in response .
"Do you want to name him?" Ashton asks.
Calum nods, "What about... Rocky!"
Ashton nods turning back to face the road.
"Ashy look! He's sleepin on me!" Calum whispers as the pappy sleeps happily on Calum's chest.
"Come on, lets go to mine so we can help Rocky and get him good." Askton says with a smile after sneakily taking an adorable picture of Calum with Rocky.
