He watched the girl typing furiously at the guy who clearly hadn't shown up. She looked so upset. The girl was so angry, hurt, and lost in thought that she didn't even notice that Cat had set her drink down until she looked up. People were starting to form a crowd around the restaurant wanting to get in for dinner. Sam sipped his soda and stared out of the clean glass window. I wonder if this has happened to her often? Perhaps not judging from her reaction to the jackass standing her up. I wonder where she's from. She doesn't look like any of the other girls I see around town.
He looked up and saw that the girls golden brown eyes were slowly filling with tears and that they were threatening to spill down her skin at any moment.
That's it. He thought. I have an idea. Sam slowly rose from his seat whispered something to the waitress and strolled out the back exit.
