Chat Noir

I had less than one minute before she knew who I was.

That sentence alone still terrifies me.

Back then, I didn't care.

All I cared about was how much I needed her to be in my arms.

How I wished so badly to kiss her and tell her my name.

But I didn't.

I couldn't.

There was no opportunity to, because a crash came from Marinette's rooftop.

The noise alone was loud enough to make your ears bleed, but all I did was jump and race towards her window.

I felt her behind me as we traveled up to her tiled roof.

But there wasn't anything.

Not an Akuma, not debris, nothing to make the shattering noise we both heard.

"What was that?" Marinette asked, looking as confused as I was.

"I don't know, but it wasn't nothing. We need to start looking around," I said as my miraculous beeped once more, reminding me of the thirty seconds left I had.

I looked at Marinette, my eyes full of sorrow.

"To be continued?"

"Be back here in thirty minutes, we can start looking around then."

I waited on her roof thirty minutes later.

She finally came out after what felt like forever.

She was dressed as Ladybug, but still seemed twice as beautiful to me.

"Ready Princess?" I asked, smiling at her the best I could.

She playfully rolled her eyes, "Let's go Kitty."

We traveled from rooftop to rooftop, looking at anything that could've caused the noise we both heard.

After about two minutes of doing so, we finally found something.

"My Lady, look," I said, picking up a small black box.

It was covered in velvet, but had strange markings scribed in red.

"What is it?"

"I don't know, but it's something...it kinda looks like the box I got my ring in," I informed her, realizing why it was familiar to me.

"Do you think the noise we heard was another holder of the miraculous?" She asked, her eyes wide with curiosity as I handed her the box.

"Maybe, but I don't know about that," I said, trying to think if there was even anymore miraculous out there.

"Let's take it back to my place, I'll have my Kwami check it out tomorrow. In the mean time, we should both get some sleep, its been a long night for the both of us," Marinette said, already swinging away without saying goodbye.
