Adrien
I stood at the concessions line in the movie theater, checking my phone to see if Nino had responded to the text I had sent him.
He still hadn't texted back, and the movie started in 10 minutes.
No one was there yet, making me grow impatient as I stared at the posters about upcoming movies.
Some strange horror movie, a kids movie that looked cute, and of course a rated R movie that looked more terrifying than the horror movie.
I sighed and tapped my foot on the ground, looking towards the glass doors of the theater.
To my surprise, a white car pulled up and a girl walked inside towards me.
At first I didn't recognize the girl with dark braids and bluebell eyes, but then as she approached me, I realized it was Marinette.
And wow...
Wow was all I could think as she walked towards me.
Her hair looked adorable, her makeup made her eyes stand out, her outfit made her look so beautiful.
She stopped in front of me, her cheeks painted pink with blush.
"Where's Nino and Alya?" She asked, looking towards the doors again.
"I-I don't know...I texted them a-a few minutes ago but they haven't r-responded," I said, mentally face-palming at my stutter.
Marinette looked at me funny; I guess she could tell I was nervous to be with her.
"Are you okay, Adrien?" she asked, and for the first time, she sounded comfortable around me.
I could tell in her eyes she was nervous and scared, but in that moment I was taking the physical effects of those two words.
"Of course, I-I'm just excited to see this movie," I lied, the movie wasn't even supposed to be that good.
"Oh I see...are you sure you're okay?" she asked, and I could tell she knew I was lying.
I sighed and looked at her eyes.
She was so beautiful, with her crystal blue eyes, and long pretty lashes, and freckles that surrounded her cheeks.
I wanted so badly to kiss her and tell her everything: who I was, how much I wanted her to be mine, and how amazing she looked tonight.
So I cleared my throat, "You look beautiful."
My heart stopped in the short moments she didn't say anything, but I could breathe again when she blushed deeply.
"Why thank you Adrien."
I looked over at the clock and saw that there were 5 minutes before the movie started.
I pulled out my phone, seeing Nino had texted me back.
Hey dude, sorry to ditch so last minute, it was Alya's idea. Good luck with your date XD
I could feel my face turn red with anger.
Of course they would ditch me, Alya had been trying so hard to get me to ask out Marinette and I just opened up a window of opportunity.
Great, nothing better then complete silence on a date with the girl of your dreams.
I turned to Marinette and smiled awkwardly.
"They bailed," I said simply, scratching the back of my neck with nervousness.
Marinette's eyes widened, "Of course they did," she mumbled.
I bit the inside of my cheek and looked at her for what felt like he millionth time.
"Well, there's no point in waiting. You ready to go?" I asked, holding out my hand for her and smiling as charmingly as I could.
She giggled and took my hand, the warmth of her skin making my heart skip.
"As ready as I'll ever be."
