(Before this chapter begins, I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm going to start putting art at the beginning of every chapter, so if you want something of your creation to be in a chapter of my book, DM me a picture and I'll give you credit in the next chapters. You don't have to, I just thought it would be a fun idea. Enjoy!)
Nuire
I took slow breaths, being careful not to look at Chat Blanc directly.
He just sat and stared like he always did, but this time, he looked at me with urgency.
"Did you hurt her?" I asked, my eyes heavy from the lack of sleep.
"I didn't, she listened well to me," he said, his voice a mumble.
"Good. What did you say to her then?" I asked.
"I told her to do as you say and no harm will come to her," he responded, looking down at the ground and frowning.
I walked towards him, putting my hand under his chin to force him to look at me.
"You love her, don't you?" I asked, making him wince.
"I love you alone Nuire, but she is you as well," he stammered, making me grit my teeth.
"She is pure Blanc, you know what happens if you fall for a pure heart," I said slowly, and lowered my eyes.
"I know My Lady, but she is you as well," he repeated, making me curl my fists.
I stepped away from him, rubbing my wrists from where those metal cuffs where.
"I'm not the only one who has a pure soul inside me, so stop blaming everything on me Blanc," I snapped back at him, his white ear dropping.
"I'm sorry Nuire, it's just...what if it happens again?" he asked worriedly.
I frowned and thought back to a couple years ago when I first met Blanc.
"Nothing is going to go wrong," I assured, "Look at how much progress we have already made!"
He smiled a small smile and nodded a couple times.
"I guess you're right...but I'm still allowed to worry about you," he said, grabbing my hands.
He rubbed circles on my palms, making me take deep breaths as I looked into his hazel eyes.
"What was she like?" I asked curiously.
He blinked in surprise.
"Why do you wish to know my dear?" he asked softly.
"Answer me," I said strictly, pulling my hands away from his grip.
He winced and nodded a couple times before answering.
"She obeys well, she's witty, pretty fearless, but..." he paused before smiling at me, "she's not as beautiful as you are."
I smirked at my sweet little kitty.
Of course I loved him, but my alter egos weren't so sure.
I hated them for that.
It made it easier for me to control him, even when I don't mean to do it intentionally.
I didn't always control him like I did then...but that was a very long time ago.
That was a time when I didn't know Marinette or Ladybug.
It was a time when I was my own.
A time where a dark soul could be apart.
A time in which I could feel love.
So I kissed him, but that didn't change the fact that even in those moments I was using him.
I knew once this was all over and I had won that I would drop him like I did the others.
The worst part was, he already knew that.
To be continued...
