Your house was always clean, dust-free, everything had a place. Except for one room. You had a library-like room where it was a mess. Story books scattered about, spilling tales of dragons and battles onto the old, yellowing pages. You were obsessed. Every night, when other hobbits would find themselves wrapped tightly under layers of blankets, you were sitting on the edge of your tattered green chair, always with an old book attached to your hands. As a child others would make fun of you for many reasons, having unusual straight hair (sorry if you actually have curly hair or something like that), for being quite anti social, but most out of all, having a book tucked under your arm at all times. Always ready for a mental adventure at all times. That lust for an incredible journey eventually grew to the point where you kept a bag packed and sitting at your door. A blanket, several bottles of water, bread and dried meat, extra clothes, a few maps, and most importantly, a few books. Even if you weren't planning to travel across Middle Earth, why not just....wander?

So it wasn't a surprise when your close friend got a few unexpected visitors that you were the next one to topple through the door. Bilbo immediately wrapped an arm around you and held you close.

"What's wrong, Bilbo?" You asked, really worried.

"There are dwarves in my house!" He quivered. Your eyes widened as you newly sprinted into the den, where the dwarves were gathered around the fireplace.

"Oh my god." You said with gusto.

"Who is she?" A quite handsome one said nearly seductively. I immediately shrunk back and hid behind Bilbo.

"This is my good friend, Y/N. She knows more about adventuring than anyone. She may help." You looked up at the hobbit you learned to love. You couldn't believe it.

"ADVENTURE?" You nearly screamed, pulling on the end of his sleeves. The dwarves around you chuckled.

"As much as she's sweet and could help us, we already have too many people." The leader said with a gross sense of reality.

"Mr. Oakenshield, I respect you above any other being, but I can assure you that I would never be a waste," You said definitely. "Don't ask how I know that, just know I write a lot."

"Let's talk about that." He gestured you and Bilbo. Bilbo pulled you out of the room kind of violently. Once in the hallway, he pulled you closer than you could imagine.

"Uh....Bilbo?"

"I don't like all of those dwarves eyeing you." He said definitively. Your face heat up.

"Wait...what!"

"Yeah, there were two of them that couldn't remove their eyes from you."

"Bilbo....are you jealous?"

"No?"

"Maybe just a little bit."
