Toby's POV
I sign the papers and look around. Happy is going to be so excited.

"Hey, Walt. Do you think that I can leave work a bit early today?" I ask.
"Yeah...why?" He answers.
"I have to um...run some errands." I lie. He furrows his brows, but then replies,
"Um, okay. Now leave before I change my mind."
"Thanks buddy!" I say as I leave the garage. I get in my car and start the engine. I feel bad for leaving Happy behind, but I have my reasons. I drive about fifteen minutes away and try find a decent looking neighborhood. After looking around for 65 minutes, I turn onto Sawyer Lane and park in the driveway of a grey brick house that has a "For Sale" sign on it.
It's big and the landscape is really nice. I checkout the front yard before deciding to go in. I walk in and a woman in a pantsuit greets me. She lets me look around and leads me to the kitchen. I see granite counters and an island. To my left there is a stove and an oven. On the opposite side of the room, there is a dishwasher and a sink. I finish looking around the kitchen and head upstairs, leaving the woman behind. Upstairs, there are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. I walk into the first room on my left. The room is pretty big and is painted cobalt blue. There is a sky blue door with white trims. I look around the room one last time before moving on to the next.
I finish looking around the house and make my decision. I call Pam over from the other room and she hurries over.
"So, do you like what you see?" She asks.
"Yes, actually, I was wondering if anyone has made an offer yet." I respond.
"No. Would you like to make an offer?"
"Do I have to make an offer or can I buy it right away? And how long would it take before the property becomes mine?"
"Fortunately, you can make the purchase without having to make an offer. And well, it takes about a week for the papers to get through. After that, the house is yours." She finishes, smiling.
"Okay. Where do I sign?" I ask excitedly.
"Right here, here, and here." She says while pointing to three different sections of the papers. I sign the papers and take one last look, Happy is going to be so proud of me!
"Thank you so much." I say and Pam hands me a copy of the papers.
"Thank you for coming." She says. I leave the house and hop in my car. I smile happily and do a dance in my seat. When I finish celebrating, I head back to the garage hoping that Happy is still there. This is gonna be great!
I walk into the garage and see Happy facing the other way.
"Sweetheart! I'm back." I say in a sing-song voice. She turns around and walks over to me.
"Where the hell have you been?" She asks.
"Well, that was a different greeting than I was expecting, but okay...I went shopping for something." I say bluntly.
"What did you get?" She questions. I hand her the papers and she looks at me with her "not good" face.
"Oh no! Why the "not good" face?" I ask worriedly.
"Because...I bought a house for us too..."
