Chapter 2.4

"The founders' party is finally organized and it will be this weekend." Jessie announced while they we're eating dinner.

"Urgh! Boring." Nate grunted.

"You have to be there son. You did not attend for the last three years." Dave said.

"Only if I go with Katelyn." He asked.

"Then who am I going with?" Sa5m whined.

"Grab any dickhead around who will suite you, cry baby." Nate said to Sa5m rudely.

"Nathan!" Dave half shouted to his son's unpolite words. "Watch your mouth!"

"Sorry." He whispered sounding meaningless.

"Can you manage to find a decent man, sweetie?" Jessie asked

"Maybe I'll just ask Mike." She whined.

"There! Problem solved." Nate said.

"Please, Mike." Sa5m pleaded his male bestfriend.

"I said no. I can't, Sa5m. I'm sorry." Mike insisted.

"But why?" Sa5m asked.

"What's going on?" Katelyn walked closer to her friends when she saw them arguing about something.

"Mike doesn't want to take me to the founder's party this weekend." Sa5m said.

"Oh, and why?"

"That's what I wanna know." Then Sa5m looked at him.

"Well, I wanna ask someone else." Mike answered.

"And who? If I may ask?" Sa5m asked firmly but Mike can't seem to spill it.

"Why can't you answer?" Sa5m is starting to be stubborn.

"I'm guessing his answer will all be summed up with one little word." Katelyn said while eyeing Mike.

Mike and Sa5m both looked at Katelyn, puzzled.

"Amilia."

Sa5m looked at Mike. "Is that true?"

"Ah . . . " Is all what Mike can say.

And Sa5m crossed her arms to her chest. "I'm sorry Sammy, but I really like her." Mike apologized.

"Fine." She replied and faced Katelyn. "Well, can I go with you then?" She asked.

"Me?" Katelyn said. "Sa5m, you know I always go with my grandfather."

Sa5m sighed. "I forgot."

"What's Katherine's excuse?"

"Well, I can't go with her tgis year 'coz Dad asked Nate to come and Nate won't come if he's not going with Katherine." And she started to walk going to their room.

"Oh." Katelyn walked as well. "Well maybe you shouldn't go this year." She suggested.

"I have to." Sa5m said like she doesn't have a choice. "Katherine is pushibg to join Ms. Arcata this year."

And Katelyn's face glow. "Really?"

"Yep. I couldn't say no."

"Yes!"

"What makes you so happy about that?" Sa5m is curious.

"Well, I always dream about you ever since we met wearing gowns with this little tiaras and you look so beautiful." She said.

"Really? Why didn't you say about that?"

"Maybe it'll just creep you out. I know how you hate gowns and stuff."

"Well, I'm really gonna do it this year. But!" Then she faced her bestfriend. "Just this year.
