Chapter 3.10

"Were near my house." Katelyn said as they walked out of the car.

"Really?"

"Yep. Just few meters away from here."

"Come on', let's hurry up. We need to get to The Gates." Amilia said and was about to go but Lyndon stopped her.

"Wait, Katelyn can't. Remember? She's still ordinary."

"Oh yeah, I forgot."

"Here we are." Lyndon said.

"The falls? You can find this magical Gates in the falls?" Katelyn asked feeling a little puzzled when they reached the edge side of the falls.

"Yep."

"How are we suppose to pass this bunch of moving waters without drowning?" She is totally freaking out.

"Soldier, can you do the honor?" Amilia asked propmtly.

Lyndon moved a little closer to the water, sat down and breath deeply. He reached for the water with his bare to palms and closed his eyes as he touched the strong flow of it.

"What is he doing?" Katelyn asked.

"Shhhh." Amilia shut her.

The moment Lyndon touched the water, with just a blink of an eye, the warm flowing water from the falls coldly frozen from the edge where he touched it to the tip from the top of the falls.

"Holy, crap!" Katelyn sighed.

Lyndon stood up and walked backwards from the frozen water and he and Amilia looked right up to the heart of the, earlier running down water from the top, and frozen still ice.

Katelyn looked up too. "What is that??" She asked wheb she saw a flick of light at the heart of it and grew wider and wider until a sort of a hole appeared.

Katelyn gasp as she totally saw the hole. It was like an opening of a cave since the sides of the falls are hills. But was a little bit weird 'coz the what she thought to be a stone cave is actually surrounded with a thick ice.

"Whoa." She said amazingly.

"Ready for a skating moment?" Lyndon offered her and they begun to walk to the frozen water until they reached the tip of the falls.

"Now that's a long way up." Katelyn said as she looked all the up.

"Ah, not really for us." Amila said a matter-of-factly.

"So, how can I go up there?"

"Wrap your hands around me." Lyndon said and Katelyn did exactly what she was told.

"Now close your eyes." He said.

"What? Why?" Katelyn asked.

"Just trust me. Okay?"

With second thoughts, she slowly closed her eyes. Then few seconds later, she felt like she is being lifted from the ground. Her head was like floating and her body felt te cold breeze of the ice.

With just a few seconds, she felt her body dropped heavily to the ground again but still felt the coldness of the ice.

And when she opened her eyes, she saw nothing but thick ice at the edge was dark. She was inside the hole she was starring at earlier.

She unwrapped her hands from Lyndon and walked. She tried to look from below because she realized that they are up. "Now that is a long way down." She said feeling more amazed.
