"Everything's fine?" Katelyn asked her friend while walking towards their classroom.
"No. Everything is not right." Sa5m answered. "I don't have anyone to go with at the founder's party."
"I thought you'll ask Lyndon?"
"Nope. Not going there."
"And why?"
"I don't know. He's a little weird, you know." Sa5m said.
"And so I am." Katelyn said a matter-of-factly.
"Well yours is different."
"In what way? Come 'on. You got through my weirdness and all. I'm sure you'll get over with him's too."
Sa5m sighed deeply. As they entered their room, she immediately saw Lyndon standing near the window looking outside.
"It's now or never babe." Katelyn whispered to Sa5m.
"Okay, okay. I'll talk to him." And she walked her way to Lyndon.
"Ahm . . . " she began.
"Hey. Ahm, look, I'm sorry for the way I acted the other day." He apologized. "I know I'm kind of a ahm, weird. That's only because I don't really mingle with others and to that, I haven't really had the chance to learn my surroundings."
Sa5m smiled. "It's okay. I also want t apologize for the way I treated you that day."
"It's okay." Then they both smiled to each other.
"So ahm, are we good then?" Sa5m asked confidently.
"Yes, of course."
"Good. 'Coz I need to ask you a favor."
"Oh . . . anything. What is it?"
"Could you please be my date at the founder's party?" Sa5m bravely asked.
"Wow . . ." Lyndon's eyes sparkled. "That would be incredible." He smile.
"Really?" She joyfully asked. "There's no pressure?"
He smiled and nodded. "No pressure." And he held Sa5m's hand. "It would be my pleasure to join your company." Then kissed Sa5m's hand.
Sa5m willingly smiled and all of the sudden a spark of fire came in rushing inside her and felt the heat in her cheeks.
