Chapter 2.6

"Did you ask Mike already?" Katherine asked Sa5m while they are the watching tv.

"Yep. But unfortunately, he already have a date." Sa5m answered.

"Oh. How about Katelyn?"

"She always goes with his grandfather."

"Yeah . . . I forgot." Katherine said. "I'm sorry that I can't go with you this year."

"No, don't be. It's okay." Sa5m assured her sister. "It's not like it was your choice."

Katherine smiled with relief. She's so grateful that Sa5m always thinks of the good side before the bad.

"So, who is this girl Mike is taking at the party that he even refused you, huh?" Katherine asked and is smiling like a silly girl remembering their sophomore years.

"What?" Sa5m asked sensing Katelyn's smile.

"Well, nothing. I just remember when we were sophomores and Mike begged you to go with him at the Homecoming Dance that you even ditched your boyfriend." She said.

"Haha , yeah." Sa5m laughed. "I remember that too."

"I always thought that he likes you." Katerine said.

"What?? No." She denied.

"That is so a lie. He likes you but your just too damn to see and accept it." Katherine pointed out. "You put him to the friend zone all these years and now he found someone else."

"Well, I don't care. I'm happy for him." Sa5m said honestly. "But Amilia don't seem to like him like that."

"What, Amilia?"

"Yep."

"Amilia, as in, our neighbor?" Katherine asked sounding surprised.

"No other." Sa5m replied.

"How did they even meet?"

"Duh? We all go to the same school. Plus, they officially met at the party in the woods." Sa5m said. "I brought them."

"Oh . . " Katherine nodded and paused for a second. "Wait! I have a thought." She said.

"What?"

"Why don't you take the brother?"

And Sa5m scoffed. "Why do keep on suggesting him?"

"Why? Do you have any problem with him? Besides, he's cute. And I think he's interesred with you."

"Yeah. Uh-huh." Sa5m said and stood up. "There you go again with your instincts."

"Where are you going?"

"I'll be off to bed."

"But--"

"Night Katherine."
