Tonight was the night. The night where many dreams might come true, or be crushed. In all honesty, I didn't really care about winning prom queen, but only about 3% of me kind of did. 

"Just remember: tonight is your night, don't worry about anything but looking at beautiful as ever, and have the time of your life. And if you're crowned prom queen, then cherish the moment as soon as it comes." My mom says as she does the finishing touches to my hair. She straightened it with a flat iron, and brushed and combed it bone straight. It was dyed an orange kind of color now.

I sighed. "But what if as soon as I walk in, I fall or something? Or some girl would look so much better than me? Or if Jaden gets hit on by an intimidatingly beautiful girl? Oh God, what if I win, and I fall off of the stage?!"

Mom chuckled as she put the brush down and rubbed my shoulders. "Just relax. Take a deep breath, and don't think negative. Tonight is going to be your night, honey. Remember that."

She stood me up before walking me to the mirror so I could see myself. She smiled. "Oh, honey, you look so beautiful."

I smiled a toothless smile as she rubbed my arms and shoulders. "Are you ready to go downstairs now? Jaden's waiting." She said. I nodded my head before walking towards my door and heading downstairs. 

Jaden was standing downstairs with a corsage in his hands. He looked up at me with wide eyes. "WHOO!" He exclaimed, causing me to laugh as I reached the bottom of the stairs. "Ms.Tyson, I love you for the wonderful job you've done to your daughter."

I kept laughing as I blushed, and my mom was laughing too. "Jaden, oh my God." 

He wrapped his arm around my waist. "You look gorgeous, LeLe."

"And you look handsome."  I said, and he looked down at his outfit.

"Don't I always?" He smirked.
