Malak

Aleiah and I pulled apart and it just got suddenly awkward. Am I catching feelings for her now? What the hell?

"Um, Malak?" She said.

"Did I just....." I started.

"Yeah."

"And did we just...."

"Yep."

"So what does this whole thing mean to us?"

She looked at me. "What you mean?"

"Like, are we a thing now, or were we just caught up in the moment?"

"Um, well, for one, we can't just be a 'thing' if we only kissed once. And for two, yes, I would say that we were caught up in the moment, but I mean...."

"What?"

"I guess I wouldn't mind being your girlfriend. But what about Sausage Biscuit?"

I started dyin' laughing. This girl crazy. "Well, Sasha and I broke up. That's also why I was mad."

"Why y'all break up?"

"She kept getting on my ass about me and her 'not spending enough time together', so I said 'fuck it'."

She chuckled. "Ok, fine." She grabbed my hand. "I accept your relationship proposal."

I laughed. "Well, then come here and give your boyfriend a kiss."

She giggled before she kissed me one more time.

What a day. 😌

I sat with Tayvion at lunch as we waited for Malak and Aleiah. They have been acting all funny and weird to each other lately.

"Aye, bro. You think something weird is going on with Aleiah and Malak?" I asked Tayvion as we watched them walk and talk together.

"A little bit. Earlier in History, they kept staring into each other's eyes, like they were in love or some shit." He replied as they finally made it to the table and sat down.

They were still whispering in each other's ears and giggling and blushing and shit. It began to get annoying.

"What the hell are y'all even talking about?" I snapped; Aleiah cut her eyes at me.

"None of yo' business." She snapped back. "The question is: what were y'all talking about?"

"Okay, I'ma just ask." Tayvion started. "Are y'all goin' out?"

"Uh, yeah." Malak answered nervously.

"Oh," was all I could say. I could tell Tayvion and Aleiah noticed how my whole mood and face expression changed, but I didn't care.

"Um, I'm gonna go get another bag of Cheetos..." Aleiah suddenly announced as she got up and left.

It was quiet between the three of us, until Tay broke it.

"Okay, I'ma just say this out loud," he started. "Malak, when did this happen, and how?"

"Uh, well, it started last weekend and I went over to Aleiah's house and one thing led to another, I asked her out and we kissed."

Me and Tay's eyes widened as we gasped. "Y'all fucked?!" We exclaimed, but not loud enough for everyone to hear.

Malak's eye went wide as he looked around quickly to see if anybody was looking at us.

"Man,---what the---hell no!" He whisper-yelled.

"Oh." We sighed in relief as Malak shook his head and Aleiah appeared back at the table.

"What y'all talkin' about?" She asked.

"Uh, nothin'. Just guy stuff." Malak quickly answered, earning a humored look from Aleiah.

"Oh, ok." She chuckled as she opened her bag of chips. For the rest of our lunch, we just sat and talked.

Ain't nothing like my friends.😌

The whole time we were at lunch, Jaden and I kept looking at each other every now and then awkwardly. I mean, it's not like I don't like him, because believe me; I do. But it's also that I sort of feel a stronger connection between Malak and I.

I just hope that at least one day, Jaden, Malak, and I can come to good terms on this whole thing between us three. But then again, it isn't like Jaden and I were together or anything.

Lord, help me through this.👼🙏
