Jaden and I stood outside as we watched the moon and stars and cuddled. It was a beautiful and perfect night. The moon was full, the stars were bright, and we were keeping each other warm. So far, this has been the best night ever.

"I love you, Aleiah." Jaden kissed my forehead. I giggled.

"I know. You've told me six thousand times tonight."

"Actually it was way more than that." He chuckled.

"You're crazy."

"Am I crazy enough....to give you this?"

I looked and he was holding a diamond ring in my face. I gasped at how beautiful it was.

"Jaden, it's so beautiful!" I took it from his hand as I looked at it closely

"Jaden, it's so beautiful!" I took it from his hand as I looked at it closely. Then I looked back up at him. "Are you proposing?" I arched my eyebrow.

He laughed. "No, I'm not. It's a little too soon for that, but I will eventually. That's a promise ring."

"Oh. It's so beautiful though."

"Here, let me put it on." He took it from me before placing it on my right ring finger, then kissing my hand in the process. This was so romantic.

"What would I do without you?" I kissed his lips. He kissed back.

"I could ask the same."

I quietly walked into the house and softly closed the front door, trying not to wake my mom and Ajah up. I peeked in the living room and saw them both knocked out on the couch. The TV was still on and my mom's favorite movie was still on the screen on the main menu. They were watching one of Madea's plays that my mom loved so much.

I chuckled as I walked a little closer, and there were whipped cream cans and empty small ice cream cartons on the floor. I shook my head, laughing at them quietly. Whenever we were sad or upset about something, we had a habit of eating sweet junk food, like ice cream. My mom said that we get it from her, and that she made us that way.

I turned the TV and DVD player off before giving them kisses on their foreheads and going upstairs to my room. Once I made it, I quietly closed the door and sighed, leaning against it.

I kicked my heels off of my aching feet, then I unzipped my dress, letting it fall to the floor. I stepped out of it before picking it up off the ground and putting it in a special place in my closet. My phone vibrated in my hand purse, but I didn't attend to it right away.

I went into the bathroom and took a quick shower to wash all the sweat and makeup on my face away. After a while, I got out and wrapped a towel around myself before going back in my room. I put my shoes where they belonged before finally going to check my phone. It was a text message from Jaden.
