Valkyrie was shocked when Alice threw her arms around her and even more shocked when her little sister uttered the words she'd longed to hear.
"I love you too." Valkyrie replied and she felt tears fall down her face. The two embracing sisters jumped apart as a phone wrung. "Is it yours?"
"I don't have a phone." Alice laughed and wiped her own tears away.
"You don't have a phone? What mountain have you been hiding under for the past 30 years? I know what I'm getting you for your birthday then." Valkyrie smiled and dried her face before answering her phone. "Yeah?"
A pause and then, "Slow down, okay we'll be right there. Thank you Doctor Synecdoche." She hung up.
"What is it?" Alice asked.
"The maintenance guy, Mr Blunder, was found unconscious in a dirty bathroom in the oldest part of the Sanctuary near the accelerator room. Staven Weeper found him passed out with a bottle of pills in his hand. They want us there. He's in a coma." Valkyrie explained and they ran off to get Vivi, say goodbye to their parents, apologize for not being able to stay for dinner, and open a portal.
