Just then Valkyrie got a phone call.
"Hello?" she answered and excused herself from Ellion who got back to his training. She listened and agreed where she saw fit. "Okay, meet you there. See you in a few hours. Bye." She hung up.
"Anything important?" Ellion called out to her.
"Nope. But I need you to come with me and get Alice and Vivi. I just need to have a shower and then I'll meet you back here and we'll get them. Then they can have their showers and we'll be off. It was just my mum. She says we should have a 'family day'." Valkyrie frowned. "Weird and random, I know."
"Yeah, that's not good. Alice has been having a row with Melissa over her choosing magic over normal. Watch out for her. You may think she hates you but she doesn't. She doesn't particularly like you either. But she doesn't know you. Try to connect with her today. She told me your mum and dad never fully paid attention to her and she always felt there was something more for them. Then she found out it was you. She feels like you're the perfect daughter she could never be and you were always in the way of her and her parents. Then she came here and still you were out-shadowing her because everyone expected her to be as good as you but she's not you." Ellion explained and Valkyrie felt her heart melt. So that's what was wrong between them?
"I...never even thought it could be...that." She spoke quietly.
"Yeah, no one does. No one thinks about what she might be feeling or going through."
