In two chapters we're going to meet the Elders! Get excited, they're rad! I just made choc chip cookies and they smell and taste so good! Here have a cookie! *tries to reach through screen to give cookie and it crumbled on the screen.* Aww, now I have oil on my screen and crumbs on my keyboard. I hate it when that happens.

The group ushered themselves into the pub and to their usual table. They ordered and their dinner was brought out quickly.

"I can't believe all we found in that bathroom was processed Mexican food. Do they know what the pills were at least?" Valkyrie asked Skulduggery as she ate her Spaghetti Bolognese.

"Not yet. They're analyzing them as we speak, trying to find out what's in them and what they do." Skulduggery replied.

"So basically, they could be anything." Valkyrie sighed.

"Oh? Anything? Could they be Alaska? Or maybe potatoes?" Skulduggery asked sarcastically and Valkyrie glared.

"Okay, so maybe they couldn't be anything. But we have no clue so far. I hate it when we have no clue." She grumbled. Then Valkyrie caught sight of Vivi lurking. "I think someone's waiting to talk to you."

Skulduggery turned and saw the teenage girl who dressed like a 6-year-old barbie doll. Vivi handed him a picture she drew and the skeleton detective surveyed the crime scene of pink and purple scribbles.

"Oh, that's lovely Vivi. I, uh...love...rainbows." Skulduggery guessed what the drawing was. Vivi looked at him like he was a particularly dumb dog.

"It's a unicorn." She rolled her eyes. "Duh, it's got a tail and eyes. Silly Mr C, can't see because he has no eyes."

"Of course it's a unicorn! I love it, I'll stick it up on my wall." Skulduggery promised and Vivi giggled and skipped back to her seat. Blonde spiky hair came into Valkyrie's sight and she fixed her shirt, ignoring a look from Skulduggery.

"Sorry, I'm late. Couldn't find my shampoo." Fletcher apologized and he popped into the seat next to his girlfriend. Valkyrie smiled and gave him a sweet kiss.

"Hey babe," she greeted him and he frowned.

"You're in a good mood." He looked her up and down.

"Indeed. Anything I should be worried about?" Skulduggery asked.

"No, I just worked things out with Alice today. My life is probably the best it's been since before I started learning about magic." Valkyrie grinned at her younger sister from the other end of the table.

"Oh, that's great." Fletcher took her hand and Valkyrie glared at Skulduggery, knowing what he was thinking.

"Oh, shut your teeth, skeleton man."
