The vampire snickered for a split second before he looked over to Syluss and winked at him. He stared that dark blank vampire's stare for the longest chilling moment before he spoke again.

"I will help you demon, free of charge. I was in love once many years ago. I believe in what you say, I am taking a leap of faith here." Romerio told him with a scornful look.

"Thank you so much, you understand the agony of it then."

"Yes I would do the same if I were in your predicament." The vampire commented, being as helpful as he could to this new ally.

"I am very grateful for your assistance. Jayelle and I had spent over a century together; we even bonded our souls together long ago." Syluss informed him.

"When do you want to do this?"

"Whenever you need to feed again, the sooner the better. I don't want to lose her again; I don't think I could take it."

"I have already done my hunting this evening, but I will find you in a few nights." The vampire offered, and Syluss of course accepted without question. He could stand a few more nights. He was just glad he would be able to find his soul mate in less than a week. Granted he knew he'd be half nuts worrying over her until the change took effect. He didn't care. He knew he couldn't just walk up to her in demon form and say hello. Syluss looked down at the hard, cold cave floor. When he looked back up again the vampire had disappeared.

Over the next two nights, Syluss was a nervous wreck. He wanted to get this done, to see his dark princess even if she did not know who he was. He wasn't sure how the whole reincarnation thing worked. All he knew is he missed her terribly; he had been worrying over her since she was taken by the angel of mercy.

The whole thing filled him with rage. He wouldn't have to go through this if those stupid angels would have left things alone. He was perfectly fine spending eternity with his bonded soul mate. However, that wasn't what had happened. He had to be transported up here to try and make sure that Jayelle was at least safe, possibly even happy. He loathed the whole situation. He was annoyed and outraged, sulking around the small cave dwelling where he slept in the day. It's not that he couldn't go out in the daylight; he just didn't like the brightness of sunlight. It stung his sensitive eyes.

While he sulked around the cave, he was completely on edge, wondering what was keeping the vampire. He should be here any time now, Syluss wondered to himself. He began to pace back and forth muttering to the empty cave. He said a couple of nights, hasn't it been a couple of nights by now?

Syluss did the only thing that could ever calm his rage. He thought about Jayelle. He missed her. He had never cared for another creature the way he cared for her. Being away from her was actually bringing him pain.
