Syluss searched for months and ready to give up, he felt broken and beat down. He did not know what to do  anymore. Roaming the earth searching for the only thing that meant anything in the universe to him. It had finally sunk in; he had nothing left in him. He  was never going to find his love. He was stuck cursed to live out eternity in the mortal realm, wandering the earth forever. He wanted to kill something, or someone. He was filled with rage, he had cursed himself and he knew it. He wasn't sure what he was going to do spending eternity here where he didn't belong.

Then suddenly without warning he felt a massive surge of power flow through him, an intense form of vampire and demon magic transforming and pulling him, to a local all-night coffee house. He was confused by this, he wasn't human he didn't like coffee. Even if he were human he probably wouldn't touch it. Then he remembered Romero's words, even if you don't understand why follow the instinct. It will make sense later. So he did what the vampire would have suggested and went in. He sat down in the back corner of the coffee house and just watched, waiting to see what would happen. This world was curiously bizarre. He didn't think he would ever understand it.

Once again he felt it, like a shock to the soul he did not have. It was like a lightning bolt through his existence. He looked around the shop, he still did not see her but he felt her she was close, somewhere near the coffee house. He waited,  sure if he was this close to finding her she would most likely go into the coffeehouse. Even if she did not go in the coffee shop today, eventually she would. He would of course be in there waiting for her. He just hoped that his little theory would work.

Each night he went to the coffee house. Each night he felt her near him somewhere. It went on like this for weeks. Then as if by a miracle he felt the inner power surge like a massive explosion. He looked up and saw a young girl, possibly nineteen? She was attractive, pale with dark eyes and jet black curls that seemed to go on forever. He could hardly believe it. Could it really be her? He hoped so. He hoped that finally all of his searching was going to pay off.

Had he found his Jayelle? This young girl was dressed in Gothic attire.Blue black velvet long sleeved blouse with black pleather pants, black spike heeled boots to match.  He waited for her to sit down and get comfortable. He knew in his very essence it was her. He could feel the maddening pull to her. There was no doubt about it. He knew it was her. He just hoped he wouldn't screw this up, if she rejected him, he would be meant to suffer in the mortal world for all eternity.

He thought about it for a few minutes. He simply needed to go talk to her. He couldn't believe he was nervous. He was now a demon vampire, he was acting like a fifteen year old boy wanting to ask a girl to the movies. He was ashamed of himself. He had power beyond any mortal on earth and here he was procrastinating. He shook the thought away from him, then  slowly walked to the table. He waited for her to look at him standing over the table. He smiled at her for a moment. Her eyes seemed to sparkle at him. He didn't know why, but he took this as a good sign. He was hoping for some kind of a connection, just a sign that some part of her recognized him. That was all he truly needed, a sign a spark of some kind of memory. Eventually she spoke first.

"Hi, do I know you? I know we haven't met before but I feel like we have. Does that make any sense?"

"Yes actually to me it does. I am Syluss."

"I am Katrine." He nodded to her; she smiled and invited him to sit with her. He wondered if he had been hallucinating. His entire system was in shock. He did not know what to do; he could not believe how things worked here. He was ready to give up live an existence of solitude then she walked through the door. The mortal world was definitely something else. He knew it would take him a while to get used to the way things worked around here. He sat down, graciously accepting her invitation.

Katrine did not know why she invited the stranger to sit down with her; she was not the type to do that. She liked to live with a little danger, but she was not stupid about it. This fellow was different; it was as if she knew him from somewhere, perhaps in a past life or something. She was a firm believer in reincarnation, yet she could not explain why. She felt something quite strange when she gazed upon this stranger. It was as if her very essence knew him. It was as though she found him to be spiritually mysterious, and her soul needed to know more. She did her best to keep all of it in the back of her thoughts, the attic of her mind.

She was intrigued by this fellow, and somehow she knew he was like her, a darker soul than most. She was more than happy to get to know him. He seemed older than her, but not too old to be an attractive fellow. There was something about him she seemed to read, like he was an open book only for her. He smiled often. He could see into her soul. It was his Jayelle. He was so happy he thought he would burst. It seemed to be going rather well, there was this surge of magic between them. He was immortal; it was easier for him to see these things. He didn't care if she saw it yet, she would over time. He was going to have to get used to calling her Katrine. The two of them were dancing around the obvious question, rather or not the other one was involved. After sometime she looked at him, staring into his inner essence. Then she asked him casually if he was meeting anyone there. He stared back into her eyes before replying with a dark tenderness she needed.

"I just did, my dark queen sit across from me, as I wait her instructions." He then kissed the palm of her left hand, as if to seal his devotion to her. She hated to act completely feminine, but she began to giggle. She feared she would faint any moment. She could not believe how he had made her feel in just a few minutes. She wasn't imagining this was she? She knew she wasn't dreaming even though it felt so wonderful it should have been one.

She did not know how to respond to him. She could not believe she was doing this but she leaned over and kissed him, with a passionate hunger she had never experienced before. She couldn't believe it. She stayed there with him at the coffee house for most of the evening. When she had to go, she gave him all of her information.

She knew she could trust him, but  just did not know why. Before she absolutely had to say goodbye, she kissed him with an almost electrifying force, she nearly knocked him down. He just smiled. He had found her. He had found his Jayelle in this miserable mortal realm. It did not matter the earth could burst into flames around him. He had found her and nothing else mattered.
