Katrine looked at Syluss, as all of the memories came flooding back at once. It was a lot to take in at one time. A wave of contentment began to flood over her. She smiled at him as she sat up. Things had begun to make sense to her. She knew meeting him was her fate.
"Hello my dear, you have returned to me." Syluss spoke with admiration for her. She smiled at him.
"It was you weren't it?" She asked almost in a fog of bizarre thoughts.
"Yes it was me, dear. Now we can have eternity." He gently kissed her hand. He took her into the forest to hunt. He remembered the thirst was almost unbearable for the first few nights.
Over the next few weeks the stayed in the cavern together until she had gained more strength. He didn't want her to travel too soon after the change. He was very protective of her, and she was beginning to see why. As the days and nights passed by them, she had seen their past. It was only bits and pieces but over time, some of it began to make sense to her. She began to see fragments of when the two of them met the first time, of her being forgiven for her sins. Then it went into this mist for her.
She and Syluss were planning to start traveling this evening. She had always wanted to see the world. She did not know where they were going first, but she did not care. She had never felt so at peace with her own existence. The rest of us should be so lucky.
