Seven

                                I couldn't help the loud laugh escape my mouth. I laughed so hard I had to lean on my knees to keep from falling over in laughter. I could feel his eyes on me as I laughed and for some reason it made laugh even harder. It felt good to laugh. To not be able to breath because something was THAT funny.

When I finally calmed myself down, Beta Asthenias was staring at me in amusement and confusion. "I'm Glad you have found a reason to laugh Luna, but this is not a laughing matter." He said, I straightened myself and looked away. "I can tell that no one told you what was going on?" he asked.

I stared at him, lips parted like an idiot. His brown urged me to answer him as stared at him. Shaking my head, no, I licked my dry lips.

He frowned. "Therefore we don't tell Alex to send messages." He mumbled, I raised an eyebrow. "We are taking you to the castle, where he lives, where you will learn how to fulfill your duties as Luna, but also be the right type of mate the Alpha needs you to be." He explained. I made and 'o' with my mouth and took in the information.

"Didn't you say you were the Beta?" I asked, suddenly. He looked at me in confusion and I just stared at him. He nodded slowly and I felt excited and happy. "Great." I said. He raised an eyebrow. "Can you do something?" I asked, I had an aching, nagging feeling I shouldn't have said anything to him. I took a deep breath.

"What is it?" He asked.

"Can you tell the Alpha King that I don't want to go with him and hell have to pick someone else to be his mate girl." I said.

Beta Asthenias' expression grew dark as he stared at me." I'm afraid I can't do that." He forced out. I looked at him in fear as he grabbed my arm. 'You maybe the Luna but you are still a human." He said "Your still not in the position to request, ask, or demand a darned thing." He said. I looked at him in surprise as he shoved me into an anyhow are mated to the Alpha King it in his own right to have you anywhere he pleases." He said.

'His own, right?' I asked myself. I looked at him, panic and sadness in my heart and I'm sure on my face.

"Please. It's a mistake. I promise." I said and he clenched his jaw, flaring his nose.

'Someone has a temper.' I thought.

He looked at me again, and simply said," The moon goddess makes no mistakes." He said and slammed the door. I jumped toward the door.

I wanted to go home. I wanted to climb onto me warn out mattress and throw the worn blanket over me. It only made it worse that I'd probably never see my mother and father ever again. I was most likely never going to meet my brother or sister. I cried out and sobbed, yelling, until my throat hurt. I lied back on the seats and cried. Making sure my back was turned towards the front seats. I glared at the seat as my tears fell. In that moment, I realize that, even though I'd never met him, I already hated the 'Alpha'.
