He didn't wake up. Not the three times I had left his side or the time that I spent right next to him. Messiah called it a coma and explained there was a possibility that he wouldn't wake up.

It took everything in me not to cry, and I successfully didn't. There wasn't a need to try and look brave, but I did it for Beau. I controlled the flood of tears and walked out of the room where he lied bed ridden. I knew that if I looked at him, I'd break and I couldn't. Not right then when there were thousands of people looking to Messiah and I for reassurance. We did our best to give it to them, but I think the people were afraid.

I didn't blame them. I was a human girl and well Messiah, he was a doctor. A prince doctor but he was a doctor nonetheless and he was hardly trained in the ways of leadership. Not that I was in anyway better.

"The council isn't answering any of my messages or requests. "Messiah huffed as we sat in Beau's office. I frowned.

"Why do we need the council?" I asked, flipping through a few files on the Alpha Lords. Behind me Messiah was shuffling through other files and moving boxes and chairs.

"The whole kingdom is without a fit king Mira." Messiah said in a matter-o-fact way. "The council will be able to guide us and they will know what to do until Beau wakes up." He said and I sighed, turning around.

I didn't see much of the council when they came a few weeks ago, they were strictly there to see Beau. Not that I cared, they scared me too much for me to want to see them. But I had memories of their visits when I had first met Beau so many years ago. They were against our relationship. A fae-human hybrid that was also coincidentally not of the Caucasian race. They hated my guts and vice versa.

"We need to finish arranging the pack meeting." I said, walking over to Beau's desk. Messiah nodded.

"I'll call the-"

"No." I said sharply. He looked at me with slight surprise and I shook my head. "Not until we meet with the Alpha Lords-we have to consider all of the working parts of this." I instructed. He studied me for a few moments before nodding.

"Sure. I'll send out a notification about the meeting." He said and picked up the phone. I looked down at the desk and began flipping through the items on the desk. I didn't listen as Messiah arranged the meeting.

Once he was finished he looked at me and smiled. "Ya know," he started out,"There is a possibility you could be a good leader." He said and I offered him a small smile.

"A possibility huh?" I questioned and with a cocky grin I added,"More like a guarantee."

Messiah had arranged the meeting for a quarter after three. Something he had neglected to tell me until ten minutes prior. Nevertheless I was prepared for the camera and my nerves were high. I was fidgeting and I could hardly breathe as the lights and camera were set up in the large auditorium. I took a deep shaky breath as Messiah adjusted his tie.

"Hey." He said and smiled at me. "It's okay Mira. We're going to make sure everyone knows what's going on and make sure that everything works out." He said and I offered a small smile as the video crew came and ushered me to the stage.

I took a deep breath as they walked me out onto stage with the camera focused down on me. I took another as the cameraman counted down with his fingers. I stood behind a podium and tried to smile as a green light flashed. "He-Hello. I-I'm Amira Koning...Um, your new Luna I guess..."I said lowly and I tapped my fingers. I cleared my throat into the microphone. The eyes of the pack members stared at me with mild irritation. I took another deep breath.

"As you know your Alpha has suffered serious injuries and we're in a bit of crisis at the moment. "I chuckled lightly." I know I am not what you want or expect in a Luna-believe me I know. My memory of the past few lives I have lived shows me just how much you support my standing as your Queen." I said, gaining confidence slowly as I spoke. "But none of that matters now...I want you to know that. The King is injured and there is a war approaching us." My lip trembled and I continued. "There are many of us dying and I can't help but take the blame for it.

"We need to work together now. Humans and Supernatural. Leader and subject. We must be a united front or else these rogue individuals will take us down without a single real fight." I said, looking pointedly into as many eyes as I could." Now I know Messiah and I aren't equipped and trained to lead this kingdom or pack, but we know enough to at least try. There are 35 Alpha Lords and plenty of men eligible for war." I looked into the camera and continued, "We are going to get through this. With or without the King I will not let this pack die." I promised, tears in my eyes.

There was a long pause as the crowd stared at me blinking. I took another deep breath and gave a small smile." Thank you for your time." I said into the microphone before stepping away from the podium.

As I walked off of the stage a few claps began and then cheers and then Messiah was next to me smiling. I looked into the crowd of supernatural and smiled, a tear sliding down my face. They accepted my speech, they accepted me as the person to lead them to a victory. It was a large spiral of events after that.

I visited Beau first, I didn't know if he could hear me or not but I talked extensively about my speech. I was so excited and happy, I just knew he'd be proud of me if he were awake. The fact that he wasn't made me cry.

After I talked to him I got straight to work. I called each and every King, confirming the arrival of their soldiers to our Kingdom. I met with the trainers and took them down to a few human camps where we recruited a few men for our army. They didn't put up much of a fight, especialy with my presence. I made sure the human men were comfortable in the barracks and then sent a nationwide message to all Alpha lords for them to do the same.

I doubled security in all parts of the pack and even in the infirmary where Beau was.

It was long day to say the very least. I met with families of the deceased and talked to the pack women, comforting them about their sons and husbands going into war.

The day ended on good note. There were many things still to be done, like the preparation of the security room. It would hold all of the pack members as the war took place.

After spending all day running around, I went to my home for a brief moment of rest. I planned to go spend the night with Beau after I showered, I was excited to tell him about my day.

I opened the front door and entered into the warm home. A sigh escaped my lips as I kicked off my shoes and dropped my light jacket on the floor before shuffling into the living room. I flicked the light on and frowned as I took in the state of the living room.

The couches were turned up and ripped to shreds, there was glass covering the floor and a window was busted in. A few open envelopes scattered the floor and the only thing remotely stable was the coffee table. There was neat white envelope in the middle and I eyed it skeptically.

I walked over and picked it up, opening the seal. Slowly I pulled out a blood stained letter that had simply the words, "One week"
