King

Sixteen

                                "Slow down Mira." Alex said, chuckling. I licked the syrup off my lips and then finished chewing the pancake I was chewing.

"Sorry." I said. I took a sip of the orange juice Reece had brought me.

After meeting Reece, they walked down the down to the dining room. Reece had gotten me a plate of food, explain which each thing on the plate was. Even though I already knew what all of it was I still let her explain. After she was done I looked at the plate. One bite and my stomach opened and a very serious hunger caused me dive in and devour the food.

Next to me Ash chuckled, "Leave her alone Alex. If I was her I'd act like that too." He said, I looked at him and smiled.

"Thank you." I said, feeling justified.

As I finished, my heart beat suddenly became quicker. At first I thought I might have been having a heart attack, but I then I realized it was the King. "The King is coming." I mumbled, putting a fork full of food in my mouth. They all frowned at me, just as the door opened and sure enough the King came in.

"Well they ARE mates." Alex said, making sense of what I'd just done.

The King came and sat at the end of the table. At the corner of my eye saw him looking in my direction. He suddenly growled." Move." He grumbled. I moved to get up, but he gave me a look to sit. I looked at Ash and saw him standing.

He was quickly moving to the other side of the table. I looked at the King.

"Hey Beau." Alex said, standing up. I nervously ate my food, suddenly feeling anxious.

"What Alex?" He said, as a maid came and gave him his food. She gave a flirtatious look and I glared at her. She of course, didn't pay mind to me.

"I was wondering if Ash, Reece and I could give her a tour of the Kingdom." He said. I looked up, hopeful. I watched the King as he thought about it. He chewed his food slowly, which manly consisted of only partly cooked meats.

The King looked at me and then nodded. "Take Hogarth and have her back inside the castle by 10:00." He said.

I smiled in excitement, "Awe thank you King Beau." I said. He nodded at me.

"Go get ready, hurry." Alex said. "We'll be waiting." He said. I got up and as I walked past the King I saw his staring, but this time I didn't mind very much.

I have one more update that I have to type up. After that it might be awhile before another update gets put up. Mostly it takes me awhile to write these and then find time to type them.
