I guess I sat there for too long, because when I decided to get up he was standing there. His face was brooding and angry, staring down at me with a glint of disapproval in his eyes.

"What the hell are you doing?" He asked and I just stared at him. He grabbed me by my arm and yanked me up, causing the voice inside my head and me to whimper.

Geez why is he so angry? She growled and I didn't reply. Too focused on the fear and amazing tingles prancing up and down my arm.

"Sitting." I said with a quiver to my voice. His eyes softened a bit and he shook his head and let go. I could still feel the anger rolling off of him in light waves and it made me shrink away. His attitude was a complete shift from what it had been in the last few hours. There was no longer a warm and loving atmosphere swarming around him, but a cold and irritated one that made me feel unsettled.

"Go change–we're going home." He said and if it wasn't for the fact that Beau seemed angry with me I'd have smiled at that.

I mumbled a simple 'OK' and made my way back up the wooden steps. He growled lightly and followed behind me, giving me light nudges forward as to speed up my movements.

I hurried up the steps and to the room and dipped into the closet. I changed into a simple pair of jeans and a light sweater, quickly yanking on a pair of shoes I found.

When I exited Beau was nowhere to be seen so I went down the steps and out the front door. He stood in the middle of the clearing, his phone pressed to his ear again. I could tell whatever he was hearing wasn't something that he necessarily wanted to hear. It made me worry.

Once he caught sight of me he beckoned me over with his hand. I walked over and soon I could hear his fervent and angry words to the caller. "I'll be there in a couple of minutes, make sure everyone is guarded and secure," without another word he hung up.

I frowned at him. "Is everything okay Beau?" I asked, gently placing my hand in his and entangling our fingers. He looked down at me and his features softened and my heart was warmed at the sight of what my touch did to him.

"No. We have to get back-theirs been an attack on the southern border." He said and started dragging me towards where we had come in through.

"Oh jeez, but there was just one a bit ago." Beau grunted and squeezed my hand.

"Exactly-I want you to go straight home." He instructed. "Lock all the doors...I'll get a guard at the door." He said and we walked into the now empty gathering area. "Go."

I quickly left his side and ran towards his house, more out of the want to please him than fear.

It wasn't long before I was standing in front of the large doors to his home. I shut and locked the door once I was inside, just as he asked and settled against it. There was brief moment of peace and self-pride at the fact I got home with ease. I listened.

Child. The voice spat and I rolled my eyes.

There was a loud crash in the house and a low, creeping laugh. I froze and moved off of the door, suddenly alert. "I was told I'd be meeting the Alpha-not His beautiful Luna." A voice, slithered out. Its voice was raspy and harsh, causing me to cringe. "Aren't I just a lucky man?"

My body moved on its own, carrying me through the hall and into the large living room.

"Oh don't run sweetie. I'll only catch you. Your blood is just so..."He paused as if searching for words. "Strong, it's hard not to catch hold of you." He moaned and I shivered in disgust.

Who is he?

I don't know, but you better run.

I ran into the kitchen, ducking behind the counter. My breathing was becoming harsh and my heart was racing.

"Miiiirrrraaaa." He sang. "Oh how I've missed you darling, your blood after all, so rare, so brilliant-is the absolute sweetest I have tasted in all my years."

"Who are you and what do you want?" I called, getting up and running towards the second living room, I could feel him trailing me.

"Oh how rude of me not to introduce myself your majesty." He taunted, "I am former King of Vampires, Sir Ellis Shoman the 5th." He purred and I could feel his presents sweeping up behind me, calling me. I stopped for a moment, enchanted by a lovely scent of honey and something else I couldn't quite grasp. It beckoned me with a song of love and its scent. Until it didn't.

A loud growl broke me from my spell and hisses followed. I walked back into the main front room where Beau was growling down at a sick looking man. He was yelling and the man was grinning, guards swarmed in behind him and stared at their king. I felt relived at the sight of him.

"Who sent you?" Beau howled.

"My leaders."

"Who are they?" Beau snapped shortly.

"You know one quite well." Sir Ellis replied vaguely. He chuckled "I will die soon." He said simply and with a giggle to his voice. "In a few minutes I'll be to ashes for telling you what little I have has triggered Ms. Veronica's spell." He rasped.

"What is the purpose of this?" Beau hissed." What is it?" He growled.

"Simple." Sir Ellis said." To see you fall."
