"Honey, what's wrong?" Kellin's mom asked.

It's been two weeks since Vic had kissed Kellin.

"Mom, what would you do if someone you don't want in your life was persistent about being in your life, kisses you out of no where?"

Just then, Kellin's dad walked into the house and they both turned to look at him.

"What?" He said as he stood in the doorway.

When his dad left, his mom said, "I'd give him a chance. Why, is Daniel going through something?"

"It's, um, not Daniel who's going through something."

"Did you have your first kiss?" His mom asked excitedly.

"What makes you think it was my first kiss?" The look his mom gave him nearly made him smile. "Fine. I had my first kiss." He grumbled.

"Tell me how it happened. Was it with Vic?"

"Yeah. We were listening to music and he kissed me out of no where."

"Then what happened?"

"I told him to leave."

"Why would you do that?"

"He's not even my friend and he kissed me. What did you want me to do?"

"Honey, in Vic's mind, he is your friend. Why are you so against allowing him to be your friend?"

"You've met Katelynn, right?" Kellin asked.

"One person does not define the entire population. Give him a chance. Maybe you might actually find things you have in common."

"He's part of the subspecies your other son comes from. The only thing we have in common is breathing."

"Kellin, sometimes I don't understand how you can be so disrespectful." He mother said before sighing. "Richard!" She shouted. "Get your ass in the kitchen and throw out the garbage now!"

"I'm busy!" He shouted back from the upper level.

"I'll give you ten seconds!" She turned to look at Kellin, who had an eyebrow raised. "Give him a chance, please."
