•••••••••••••••••••••••••••
During lunch, while Kellin was sitting outside on the bleachers with Vic, Mike and Tony, he received a message.

From Daniel : YOUR DATING VIC ??? HOW DID YOU DO THAF ??? ARE YOU DOING HIS HOMWORK OR SOMETHING !????

Kellin rolled his eyes and ignored him.

From Daniel : DONT LEAVE ME ON READ YOU ASSHOLE !!!! I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE ONE TO GET NOTICED BR VIC 😡😡

To Daniel : are you even bi ?

From Daniel : I'm telling mom 😇

To Daniel : I'll give you twenty bucks to shut up

Just then, Kellin's phone rang and the caller I.D., read mom.

Daniel is dead to him.

"Hey mom." Kellin answered.

"Is that my bff?" Vic said, stopping the conversation he was having with Mike and Tony.

"Hello dear." His mom said too happily. Kellin's phone slipped out of his hand and he ended up hitting the speaker button, so the other three boys turned to look at him when she said, "Daniel said you're dating Vic, is that true?"

"He said it's for an experiment for science." Kellin mumbled, making Tony and Mike stifle their laughter.

"Kellin!" His mother said disapprovingly. "That's very disrespectful. He seems to genuinely like you so you better be nice to him."

"For twenty bucks I'll actually like him." When Kellin looked back up, he saw Vic getting up and descending down the bleachers. "Mom, I gotta go. The bell is about to ring. Bye." And true to his word, the bell did ring.

"Ok honey, be safe and be nice." With that, Kellin hung up and walked down the bleachers with the other two boys in tow.

"Vic!" Kellin called out. "Vic, hold up!" When Vic showed no signs of stopping, Kellin asked, "Can one of you stop him?"

"Nope." Mike replied, popping the p. "This is your mess. Let's go Tone."

Kellin watched as they jogged passed Vic and disappeared into the school building. He was honestly trying not to run after Vic but now he had to and ugh, why can't Vic listen?

"Hey, I'm calling for you." Kellin said once he reached Vic.

"Leave me alone." Vic mumbled, keeping his head down and trying to walk around him.

"What's your problem?" Kellin asked, blocking Vic. "What did I do?"

"Nothing."

"Then why are you mad?"

"Forget about it."

"Vic-."

"It's what you said."

"What?"

"It's what you told your mom." Vic repeated, lifting his head and looking at Kellin.

Vic was crying.

And Kellin never felt like a bigger price of shit. So the logical thing to do was grab Vic by the wrist and led him to the parking lot.

"Take me home." Kellin said.

"What?"

"Just, do it. Please?"
