"Kellin?" Vic whispered. "You awake or ... something?" When he got no response, he walked in, closing the door behind himself, and walked up to the bed. Vic found Kellin crying in his sleep, his eyebrows almost meeting in the middle. "Baby, wake up." Vic said, getting on his knees and trying to wake Kellin up. After a few attempts, Vic succeeded.

Kellin woke up with a gasp and sat up in his bed. He could hear his heart beating loudly in his ears as the blood rushed everywhere.

Panting, Kellin looked out his window a for a few moments before he turned the other way, being startled by "Vic." He said softly. So soft, it wasn't even a whisper.

"Hey." Vic said as he watched Kellin wipe the tears off his face. "You ok?"

"Yeah. Yeah. Um. You need to leave."

"No."

"Vic, I asked you, kindly, to stay away from me. Please, don't make this harder than it already is."

"Why are you pushing me away?" Vic asked as he pulled up Kellin's computer chair.

"I'm not."

"But you are."

"Vic, I'm seriously not."

"Kellin, you seriously are."

"Goddamit! I don't want you Vic! How many times are you gonna fo-rce me to shout that?" Kellin shouted, his voice cracking a bit. He could feel it.

And even though that hurt, Vic stood his ground. "Until you, yourself, believe it too." He replied calmly. "Until you can look at me in the eye and say that you never felt anything for me. Not even a small sliver of something that's a bit more than friendly."

Kellin couldn't take it. He looked at Vic as his eyes got glassy and he cracked.

His face crumpled, he hung his head with shame and his shoulders shook.

"I'm sorry." Kellin cried out. Vic rushed to his side and held the crying boy in his arms. "I'm so sorry."

"Hey, hey, it's ok baby. Let it out. Let it all out." Vic whispered before kissing Kellin's temple. After a few minutes, Kellin calmed down and sniffled. "Do you feel better?"

"Yeah." Kellin croaked.

"Do you wanna talk about it?"

"Not really but you won't let me sleep until we do."

"So what did I do?" Vic asked quietly.

"I was serious when I said you did nothing." Kellin replied. "It'll sound cliche as fuck, and I hate it, but it was me."

"Then tell me what was going on with you."

"My dad, he uh left. The day before spring break. And he ... he didn't tell us. Only my mom. He doesn't know when he'll be home but he says it for business. And this isn't. It's not the first time he left. But it's the millionth time he's left after arguing with my mom. He only leaves without telling us when they fight. She says they're fine but I. I don't know if I believe her. And with you gone. Well. I thought that when you came back, you wouldn't like me anymore. But you still did and that threw me off. So I wanted to give you a reason to not like me and I said some really horrible things to you and god why are you even here?"

"Because I never stopped liking you Kells. Baby, you've been my best relationship since I started dating."

"You need to stop being sweet because I feel like an even bigger dick for being mean to you."

"That's not even sweet. Kells, babe. Now that I know what was going on in your head, I'm not upset anymore. I understand why you did what you did and it hurt like hell if I'm honest but you were terrified because of what you've seen when you were younger. And please, please, please, trust me when I say that I'll never walk out on you if we ever go through another fight. Baby, you mean so much to me. And like, yeah we've been dating for like two months but that doesn't make my feelings for you any less real. Aw, why are you crying?"

"Because," Kellin cried. He didn't know what to say so he did what he does best. Kellin pulled Vic in for a kiss, hoping to get his point across of the feelings he had for the older boy. "If you're willing to give it another shot, I promise I'll try harder to be like, affectionate and stuff."

"Of course I wanna try again but I don't want you to change. I started liking you because of how you already are. You're not afraid to be honest with people and you don't care about other people think or say about you. So please, don't change."

"Ok." Kellin whispered. "Can we lay down? I'm kinda tired." Vic nodded and try got under the covers, facing each other. "So, I have a, uh, question." Kellin said.

"Shoot."

"I know you're gay and you know you're gay but um, why'd you kiss Danielle?"

"Is someone jealous?" Vic teased.

"Not jealous." Kellin mumbled. "I just ... didn't like it, is all."

"Ok, not jealous. But you totally were. Anyways. I kissed her because I wanted to feel something else besides the pain. And all I got was nausea because it wasn't you. It felt wrong because her lips were covered in strawberry lipgloss and yours are slightly rough and soft. And I really wanna kiss you but I don't wanna cross any boundaries."

"Did she give you a disease?"

"Kellin, that's mean."

"Have you seen her track record?"

"Still, it's mean."

"Fine, whatever."

"And no, she didn't give me a disease. She went and got tested and she's clean. I went to make sure."

"Ok good. Now come here loser." Kellin said, pulling Vic closer and kissing him on the lips.
