EYES the shade of lavender and hair abnormally blond, the male sat cross legged atop a clothed table while the two demons stood frozen in front of him.

they had transported to a room decorated in deep purples and various shades of pink.

jungkook was the first to speak. "what the fuck?"

the male tsked, shook his head and wagged his fingers. "don't swear." his voice was song-like and teasing. he was dressed in a black button down shirt that was open several buttons, exposing skin that seemed unreal. it glistened under the minimal light and shimmered as if it were sprinkled in glitter—which it was.

"what is this?" namjoon growled, eyes fierce. the two were about to transform without holding back, letting their demon unleash. the male knew this and remained indifferent.

"this is what happens when you try to steal from my shop," the owner inspected his fingers nails that were painted in mood polish. "well it was unsuccessful, now will you let us go?" namjoon reasoned, not understanding why he couldn't shift into his demon form.

he felt as if there was a block preventing himself from slipping back and letting the creature come forth. jungkook felt the same way.

"you're demons. figure it out. go pwoosh with your swirly smoke powers."

"how did you know we were demons?" jungkook beat namjoon to the question.

"same way i know you're a dumbass; you reek of it." the male finally looked up at met the younger's eyes with a smirk. he could see the demon swirling behind his eyes, and maybe, just maybe, he liked playing with things a little too dangerous. pure demons were always fun to vex.

jungkook couldn't move from his spot, however. his lips pressed into a firm line and he nudged the inside of his cheek with his tongue, willing himself to not speak.

"dimples and bunny baby," the male spoke again, referring to the demons with his own nicknames, "tell me why demons are so stupid that they can't even recognize when they're in the presence of a warlock?"

"because your kind is beneath us and we don't pay attention to things unless they're pretty." jungkook spoke. the male scowled, "i am pretty."

"maybe in another realm, but definitely not in this one."

namjoon watched the exchange quietly, trying to think of ways to get out of whatever spell he was under.

the scowl left the owner's features as he regained his composure. "bunny baby, with an attitude like that, you'll never leave."

"stop calling me stupid shit." jungkook wanted to lash out and tear at his face.

the man lost his composure once again, his face twisting in annoyance and hatred, "didn't i say not to fucking swear?" he hand came down onto the table with a loud bang.

"you're breaking your own rule." namjoon said.

"and you're cute when you're quiet, so keep your mouth shut." the older male, the owner, finally looked over namjoon.

"you're part demon. just let us go, we'll owe you if you want." namjoon bargained, feeling lowly for even doing so. the owner paused, then, considering the suggestion. a smile crept across his features and he relaxed once again.

he hopped down from his position on the table and strode over to the mannequin-like demons. he glanced at jungkook, deciding to keep him under the spell, while he undid namjoon from his cast.

"now jungkook." he pointed a slim finger at his friend, instructing the warlock to work his magic. "i don't trust him. he might kill me." the man admitted, eyeing jungkook's physique.

"only if you're into that sort of thing." the younger winked, once again, flirting with yet another being.

the warlock ignored him but obliged, and jungkook relaxed once he finally regained control of his body.

however, the two were still unable to shift into their more vile forms. "why can't i feel my demon?"

"the room blocks you from shifting." the warlock instructed and motioned for them to follow him.

they began to make their way past a curtain draped doorway and into another part of the room. "but warlocks are part demon." jungkook mused allowed in confusion.

"did you not pay attention in school? we don't shift the way you can, and my demon-y side doesn't work in here either."

they were now back in the shop, the stained glass namjoon once had in his hand back in it's place. the owner caught where his gaze was directed and spoke up, "if you want it, you have to buy it."

namjoon nodded, and jungkook retrieved the item for him. "how much is it?" he asked, pulling out a fully loaded wallet, making the warlock wonder why he even considered stealing. he guessed that was just the part of the demon he was.

"three dollars." namjoon snorted at the price. if it was so cheap, why make such a fuss about taking it.

"and don't forget," the warlock took his money, bagging up the item in bubble wrap for precaution, "you owe me."

"we won't forget, princess," jungkook waved dismissively, halfway out the shop.

"we need to know your name first." namjoon reminded, still in front of the counter.

the warlock gave a coy smile and the eyes that reverted back to dark brown flashed purple momentarily.

"seokjin."

and namjoon couldn't place why the name sounded so familiar
