"How do I know that you're not lying?"
"Because you and I know that I could take more...let's say drastic measures to ensure your cooperation than by promising you something."
He could threaten to kill everyone I know. He didn't say it but the implication in itself was clear.
"..."
"You look like you need some time to think it over, and I can sense your brother's presence in the building. You have 24 hours to come to a decision Raven."
And with that he disappeared, I went to the kitchen to fetch myself a whiskey. I poured myself a cup and made my way to my couch. True to Azeroth's word my brother walked through the door mere seconds later.
"Yo."
I just nodded, unable to muster the energy to say anything else. Ash immediately picked up on the fact that something was wrong.
"So apparently I can't leave you alone, without something bad happening." He said in an attempt to lighten the mood, I managed a small smile, but didn't say anything.
"...It's related to what happened yesterday isn't it?"
My silence gave him his answer. I looked over at him; he nodded his head slowly before walking over and sitting next to me. He looked somewhere between pissed and sorrowful.
"...Raven, I know."
I finally found my voice.
"You what?"
"I know."
Shit, he knows about me being Azeroth's daughter, but that's impossible I-I.
"Before you start freaking out Raven, I didn't kill him."
And that's when I realized that he was talking about Matt and not Azeroth. Well...him finding out about Matt is better than him finding out about my ancestry.
"...How'd you find out?"
"I paid him a visit last night."
Shit, judging by the tone of his voice, this isn't good, what if he fucking hurt him?!
"Ash, what the fuck did you do?!"
"..." he failed to meet my gaze, looking down at the floor with a frown.
I stood up in an attempt to calm myself, glass in hand. I failed miserably.
"GODDAMMIT ASHTON!"
I flung the cup across the room, it smashed against the far wall and the golden liquid dripped down from it. Ash stood up and walked towards me, in an attempt to calm me down. He was standing behind me; he reached and put a hand on my shoulder. I brushed it off, instead opting for staring at the patterns formed by the dripping of the golden liquid on the far wall.
"Raven..."
"What did you do?"
I was shaking either in rage or fear, but either way it didn't matter, if he hurt him, he's a dead man. There was a reason I wasn't facing him, I really don't want to hurt my brother.
"Nothing you want to hear about...trust me."
I turned around and grabbed him by the collar
"You meddlesome little-"
He shook my grip off of him. "Raven, I was trying to help Goddammit!"
"Trying to help? You hurt him!"
