When I came to, my body was unable to move freely, looking down I realized that I was strapped to a chair, using magic dampening bonds and shackles. By now I was aware of my surroundings, black royal looking walls with a border of embroidered skulls, A bloody colored glass chandelier hung above me A black colored baby crib at the far end of the room, that seemed more than a little out of place. What Is this? Goth nursery? Where the fuck am I?
The last thing I remember is talking with Acheron. He was being weird...and now I'm strapped to an uncomfortable chair in the middle of nowhere. None of this makes any sense; I thought Acheron was on our side. I thought he was one of the good ones, why the hell did he kidnap me?
I started hearing footsteps approaching, and was quickly alert. Whoever it is, I have to keep calm. I can take on anything and anyone. To my utter dismay, Acheron walked in, looking somewhere between surprised and confused.
"You're awake? You must be stronger than even I gave you credit for."
"What the hell do you want from me?"
"You know what I want."
What the fuck is he talking about? I spoke in the most sarcastic tone I could muster.
"Listen if this is to stop me looking into Dominican, you could have just ASKED."
He gave me a scrutinizing gaze, searching my eyes.
"What are you trying to accomplish?"
"What?"
"You're still acting as if you don't know the truth, when you do."
Is he talking about the fact that Dominican is still in existence? The confusion on my face must have been evident.
"You're really keeping this charade up?"
"What charade? I don't know what you're talking about."
"You're a skillful actress, I'll give you that. I almost believe you."
"Acheron, I'm not acting, I genuinely have no idea what you're talking about."
In a flash he grabbed me by the neck, squeezing painfully, until the edges of my vision were starting to blur.
"STOP LYING TO ME!"
"Acheron...I'm...not..."
His grip tightened.
"STOP CALLING ME THAT...YOU KNOW!"
"I...don't...I...swear."
His grip relaxed, and he let go of me and stepped backwards, looking like a caged animal, just waiting to be provoked."
"You really don't know...?"
I shook my head gently, feeling too weak to respond. He began muttering under his breath, I was only able to catch bits and pieces of what he was saying.
"Not lying...but how...now...Azeroth...blew...no reason..."
Azeroth? Oh my god...he's working for him! Matt was right!
"You...You..."
He looked at me, realizing that I'm shaking.
"WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?!"
"You were getting too close...too close..."
He was speaking more to himself than to me, the words were barely audible.
"Too close to WHAT?"
"I suppose it's too late...you might as well know."
He took a deep breath, collecting his thoughts, before looking at me with renewed callousness.
