Matthew teleported us to an obscenely dark marble archway tunnel, which was as beautiful as it was long. I could see blinding light emerging as we got closer to the end. When we got there I realized the light was a dimensional portal.
"Where does this lead, Matt?"
"Ever heard of Kylaine?"
"The city of emotions? Why are we going there?"
"Because...I sense that the only way to find out the truth, is through your memories."
"Wait...I was never around Azeroth, how the hell will my memories tell us anything?"
"One thing that was abhorrently withheld from you is that, there's a reason why Azeroth needs you."
"What are you saying?"
"Your powers are somehow...linked to his. That's why he needs you alive for whatever he's planning."
"So you think that if my powers are linked to him, then so are our memories?"
"Not exactly."
"Explain?"
"I don't think you share his memories, but I do believe you can access them, through his eyes somehow."
"Using the city of emotions..."
"Exactly."
"So, you think that my link to him will somehow...lead us to wherever he is?"
"That's the theory, yes."
I felt uneasy about the whole ordeal. Kylaine is located in a dimension known as Motus, which means emotion in Latin. The city's entire construct is made to take each person through a trip inside their own subconscious, in order to find the truths they search for, The city requires the person to be pure of heart, in order for it to reveal the truths they seek, but what Matt wants me to do is to take a trip into Azeroth's subconscious...the incarnation of evil himself...I don't see how I could be considered pure by wanting to invade Azeroth's memories.
"Raven, I know that you probably don't feel very good about this...but I think it's what needs to be done."
"I need to be pure of heart...what if I'm not?"
"You are the purest person I've ever known. The Darkness inside you doesn't control you, just like The Darkness inside me doesn't control me...okay?"
I nodded, feeling a little bit better. Matthew took my hand and looked over at me.
"The second you step in...you'll be on your own and looking through Azeroth's eyes, you won't be thinking like yourself, essentially you'll be him in his memories, are you ready for that?"
"Here goes nothing."
I walked into the portal, not knowing what to expect. On the other side was darkness, absolute and utter darkness...and what's more, I was totally alone.
Light suddenly emanated from within me and next thing I know I'm standing in the dark house I saw in the vision of myself as a child. I looked down at my hands, only to realize that they weren't my own. I guess it worked; I'm somehow seeing Azeroth's memories as himself. Thoughts started bombarding my brain, thoughts that were not my own.
......
This wasn't meant to happen. I wasn't meant to meet Moira. This could ruin everything, that woman could be the end of everything. I refuse to let her ruin everything I was created to do. My crusade shan't end because of a woman's desire, but for some reason I cannot stay away. Even the devil has a heart, and unfortunately for me, she took mine. Her brethren intend to destroy Dominican, and Moira cannot stop them. She acts weak...afraid of her own brother. Can she not see the immense strength inside her? If only he had accepted her for her truth; a cold, dark, ruthless sorceress. She may be born from the light, but darkness can be an acquired trait. I'm glad she discovered her true self, I'm glad she won't perish along the rest of these so called do gooders, only attempting to delay the inevitable. The world is meant to belong to me, it is prophesized, but the destroyance of Dominican will not benefit my crusade, nay it will delay it.
