** Just as a little warning, this chapter is written in third person. Enjoy!**
Damien, walking briskly from one end of the office to the other, rubbed his face multiple times. The pacing did nothing for his emotions and he couldn’t imagine how King Nykel the II was feeling at the moment. His daughter, who had returned home months ago, was now gone.
Kidnapped by demons. His daughter was kidnapped and he sat in his chair looking extremely calm as King Damien continued pacing and worrying. He didn’t understand how the king was looking so calm.
King Nykel watched the young king go back and forth, muttering plans and throwing out strategies. His dark hair was an untamed mop upon his head and there were bags under his blue eyes. The young man suddenly stopped and turned to the other men in the room, surprising the young Captain Hamilton. Blithe and King Nykel, on the other hand, didn’t seem fazed.
“The Kackle!” he exclaimed.
King Nykel asked, “What?” with the most confusing look he had ever portrayed.
“Before I went to the mortal world, my advisor would disappear often. I followed him one day and he went to this abandon factory. My father had shut it down years before I was born. They called it the Kackle Factory,” Damien explained.
“You think Elle could be there?” Blithe asked.
Damien shrugged and ran his hand through his already messy locks. “It won’t hurt for me to look and our search parties haven’t heard anything yet.”
“You can’t go in there alone,” Blithe replied in his commanding tone. “Not when you have soldiers that have shown treason.”
“My brother’s on that,” Damien muttered looking away slightly ashamed at the way his brother chose to find and punish the traitor’s. “Any men he sends would have been... tested.”
“Still,” Blithe began rubbing his stubble on his chin, “I would like you to have some reinforcement that is true to Elle.” Damien didn’t argue. He only nodded and sat down as Ellia’s father called for someone to bring over a map.
Once the map was displayed on the table, Damien pointed out the Kackle Factory on the north side of the Demon Kingdom.
Blithe looked at Captain Hamilton and ordered, “Round up our best ten men by the end of dinner. We’ll teleport tonight.”
Xavier nodded his head, still skeptical of the King of Demons, but he did as his superior officer had ordered and left the room with one last glance at the young king, whose eyes gleamed with hope.
The moment he was out of the room the phone rang. Damien snapped his head up from the map and looked over at it with wide eyes. He looked to the Elemental King and asked, “Do you think?”
The older king showed hope as well, but he didn’t answer. Instead he pressed the ‘answer’ button on the phone and greeted the person. “This is King Nykel.”
Damien nearly growled at the voice on the other end. “Hello, your majesties,” Damien’s advisor mocked. “I suppose you were expecting a call from your search party about your dearest Princess.”
“Lathon, I’m going to make you wish you never crossed me!” Damien scowled.
Lathon, laughed on the other end. “Of course, I should have known you were there Damien. Or should I call you Dilan?” The man laughed evilly. “I suppose it doesn’t matter either way. Your love interest is alive, but only for a matter of time though.”
“You keep your hands off my daughter!” King Nykel ordered with his voice harsh.
“Your daughter? I was the one that raised her! I changed her diapers and kept her fed,” Lathon explained making sure to rub salt into the kings wound. “You simply gave her away. And to the enemy no less.”
