shards of starlight
puncture
your translucent skin
a thousand points
of entry
but no exit wounds in
sightso it is that a universe
manifests
within your holy host
an unwitting vessel
patient zero
as terminal as the
nightbouts of anger
implode
in the form of white
hot stars, collapsing
sizzling, melting
upon your
tongueconfessions of love
swallowed
by the gaping black
hole in your chest
feasting barbarically
on your dying
wordshope presents itself as
crescents
cratered and partial;
your moon grey irises
flecked with lapis
blue, an icy
tideyou endure pain in
extremes
lashes singed by sunlight
meteor shower tears
as sunset hues bleed
from open
woundsyour blackest days
void
a vacuum leaving you
gasping for oxygen
darkness all-entombing
too much space inside of
yourselfand now you begin to
burn
up and out, that starlight
intense and restless
how it aches for the sky
you are not
anymoreit begins from within, the
cosmos
tears at your mortality
dislodges solar systems
from the marrow of
your hollow
bonespores lit up, mirroring
constellations
while that which is infinite
and incomprehensible
vacates bursting veins,
taking, too, the northern
lightsfrom over snow capped
mountains
of chattering teeth
that your smile may glow
with the dancing spirit
of the northern nights no
morea spattering of galaxies
freckles
on fair, fair skin
fade from your face
scrubbed aggressively
off, with oceans of
stardusttotal lunar eclipse of
unblinking
eyes, but look again
the moons are not hidden
but fallen, leaving only
empty oblivion
behindand when every last
echo
of godly power
and unknowable wonders
all become but ghosts
knocked out of your
orbit;when all that seems to
remain
is the smell of fire and
the aftertaste of a life
too big for your body,
too colossal for your feeble
souland you are on your
knees
in a puddle of sky,
beholding a glimpse of heaven
amongst a gallon of hell
in your murky grey
reflectionnothingness becomes
you
all that you were,
the sum of everything,
has abandoned you
and now you see the exit
wounds
